Ever get so high that you decide to make bread, eat some, and then get high again and hug the bread and kiss it like a newborn baby.
Well if you would like to try this bread, I have the recipe
2-1/4 tps Instant Rise Yeast
6 TBsp melted unsalted butter
3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour and some for dusting
1/4 cup each of golden raisins and craisins
1 good squeeze from an orange
Mix sugar and maple syrup in a small bowl while you heat the milk to 110ºF. Combine milk and yeast in bowl and wait 10 minutes while it rises.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs and butter together and add the yeast mix. Combine the salt and flour in the egg/yeast mixture and knead for 5 minutes. Dough should be slightly sticky but should not stick to your surface. Add more flour if it does. Mix in (c)raisins. Place in bowl and cover with plastic wrap to let rise for about an hour or until doubled. Smoke bowl in that time or whatever.
Lightly flour the surface, roll out until it’s twice as long as your bread pan. Make filling by combining all the ingredients. Spread filling evenly and roll into a log. Place in loaf pan seam side down. Let sit for another half hour or so.
Pre-heat the oven to 375ºF , place loaf pan in center of oven and cook for about 45 minutes or until center registers 190ºF-200ºF. Slice once the bread is cooled, then proceed to hug it.
