Already done. I applied for a Market manager job last night. Jobs are just so hard to come by around here, especially ones that pay half way decent. It took me over a year to find this one, and I definitely don’t want to go back to my previous job.

Ithaca, NY has this great meat locker program were people can rent freezer space. Plus they have a huge listing of farms where people can buy meat from. It would be great if it took off in other cities. Have you even been to any local farmers markets? What is the pricing for prepackaged meat if it's available?

Nah I'm doing the "I have no insurance so I'm taking all the over the counter medicine I can get my hands on" thing.

The thought has crossed my mind. Just a small one so I wouldn't have to worry about federal regulations. I could buy the rabbit pellets in bulk from the one large feed mill (running a pellet mill is too costly) and grind up small batches of meal feed for pigs and chickens. It's probably a feasible venture as I know the guy trying to come up with feeds made from waste products (produce, spent grain, and whey) would go in with us.

It’s a relatively small company dominated by men… this is our 3rd gm and I’ve never once even seen them interview a woman for the position. But this guy is being so blatant that it’s only a matter of time before someone complains to corporate. I’m just glad I work third shift so I never see him.
