Im wonder if terminus exists after reading more of your megs’s backstory (I love your takes of the characters so much)
Firstly, thank you so much fo enjoying my takes on characters for my AU, it means a lot!
Now, in regards to Terminus he isIndeed in the AU! He's mostly a background character, but important to Megs' story nonetheless.
He's the closest thing Megatron has to a father figure, being the host parent that Megatron stayed with during Megs' time in the Institute of Higher Programming majoring in rhetoric, with engineering as a back up degree.
Terminus is huge, powerful and incredibly well armor plated, with a alt mode of a drill-tank that pulverizes stone and metal like nothing else.
He's also well-spoken, patient and a firm believer that society CAN be improved, even incrementally, but it requires the collective courage of many. The problem was that his generation of 'bots had been in a midst of a major Functionism wave, and while well-read and well-educated, Terminus had nowhere near the personal charisma that Megatron would have, and thus was stuck as a miner.
However, despite it being difficult to get his message accross, not once did he ever regret trying to do good for the common bot.
Megatron's experiences with Terminus helped solidify some crucial aspects of Meg's view of the world:
One may be not want to be involved in politics, but politics will always involve you.
Functionism is not only stupid, but actively harmful to Cybertronian society (if his mom instilled it into his mind, learning from Terminus made sure that it'll be his goal in life to make sure Functionism be put in the dustbin of history as a political force).
Workers are the bedrock of society, and what's good for the worker is good for all of Cybertron.
Also a glimpse of college Megatron. He liked painting his helmet.
