// you guys are wonderful. ;A; i hope my muses come back soon to play with you guys! //
He wasn't going to rise to the provocation that sometimes got him to do things around the house. He was too bored to even entertain the idea of doing any type of cleaning. Plus the place always looked cleaner then it had before he moved in and to Gojyo's standards it was perfectly fine. After giving a little sigh, he grabbed Hakkai by the hand and pulled him towards the door. It would still be here when they got back. "That saying about the bird only works if you're a morning person."
Cleaner and cleaned are two separate entities as Hakkai would like to think; though, it appears that his red haired friend does not seem to entertain the idea so for even before Hakkai even has the chance in finishing his statement, he finds his own hand ensnarl in Gojyo's strong grasp where a firm guidance would ensure that he would follow.
Certainly, there's an option to protest…but still…. Briefly letting his eyes fall to shutter, Hakkai softly exhales. The other's hand is as he remembers-- rough but with a strange sense of tenderness-- it is warm. He shakes his head. "Mada. Mada.", Hakkai smiles. "Hasty. Hasty. Very well. Let's get to it after we finish our walk then."
Happy Birthday 'Kai.
"…Birthday.…?", the raven haired youkai muses as a glance silently stolen to confirm the date has indeed yielded him with the lovely number of twenty-nine. It hasn't seemed important though-- not anymore-- and thus, consequently, Hakkai has more or less blissfully forgotten until his friend has brought that up. In a swiftness of seconds where thought begins to register, resolution resolves into a smile placed on a low basso laced heavily with quiet laughter.
"Thank you, --Gojyo san~n. It's always great to know we have lived past another year, ne?"
Gojyo looked at his friend. Hadn't he just said that cleaning wasn't fun. And being as bored as he was, cleaning wasn't going to help. He'd only be looking at the clock and wondering how long it would take, but he knew the only way he'd ever get Hakkai out of the house and possibly get to do something fun was to help him. Though he didn't like it one bit. "Can't it just be left for later?" He wasn't above trying to get out of it, if he could.
Sometime, people simply have to endure what they would rather not simply to find that luscious treat of self-fulfilling in the end; though, cleaning, to Hakkai, has always been something he could find himself enjoy. It works better when you have someone to share that moment with you., or at least that’s the manner of being raised with in an orphan house has ingrained upon each of their young charges. Even when they have left the establishment, it’s still a tradition both him and Kanan keeps.
Cleaning…alone. Maybe he’s just masochistic. Hakkai shakes his head. From the much heeded protest, it seems unlikely the other would help. With the same serene smile forming upon lips, Hakkai runs his hand through his hair, rubbing the back of his nape. “Sa~a, you know how they said early bird gets the worm, ne?” Another tipping of head, and the trail of hand that was started earlier is continued in how it is brought down to finger his chin as he surveys the room, being carefully deliberate in his action as he softly exhales. “Hn, I suppose I shall have to finish them alone then. You wouldn’t mind waiting another hour or two, would you? Of course, as they once said two hands is better than one but since the task seems too mundane…”
"I'm bored." Gojyo whined. "Is there anything that we could be doing?" The redhead paused for a couple of seconds, "And don't say anything about cleaning or reading books. Those aren't fun."
Cleaning...or reading books. Ah, but to Hakkai, there is always some cleaning that needs done. Take a look around the room at this exact moment for instance! The green eyed youkai lets his eyes roam from the corner where his friend's yesterday wear still reeks of the rain he was forced to run through toward the plates of their early morning feast. Silently marveling on which tasks he should have attended to first, or in which order, Hakkai raises his finger to tap idly upon his chin. Sometime, he can't really imagine how his red haired friend has ever managed to survive before this shared understanding; or he did can imagine, only that it always leave him inwardly wince. "Mada. Mada. Gojyo-san." He serenely continues. "Or you can help me with the cleaning, and we can go out shopping afterward. What do you say, hm?" Canting his neck slightly to the side, he smiles, one digit raised in attenuating his point.
They still need to stock the goods in their room as well.
Miss you 'Kai!
"Now. Now." The ravenette smiles. The sudden exclaimation of affection has the book in his grasp comes to a close; though it has yet to be put away. Knowing the red head, and knowing himself, that may bound to happen sooner or later. Body pivoting almost to a 45 degree, just enough for crimson form to fully be held beneath emerald's regard, and the book is put away. "You know saying that won't get me to go out to the pub or as you might put it, get a life, don't you?"
The green eyed youkai wiggles his finger at the other.
Out of character: "And to bed, I am. I shall try to post for you tomorrow, love!" [- Have been slow everywhere -] xD
The redhead looked at his roommate, "Oh it wasn't too bad. You know, the usual. People losing their money to me." He took the seat next to him, "Did you have fun being here and there?"
Kyojo and his bet, and that, too, is something in a moment of quiet thought that Hakkai finds himself itch to voice his concern. Still, all is but a game. The black haired finds himself stuck with the crimson fiend long enough to recognize his roommate to rarely lost.
Besides, starting one, and you might as well continue with all the rest: booze, smoke, babes and unsafe sex. Though he expected his friend to be smarter than that to risk the last. Raven lashes draw past peridot slits to a full closure in an expression of serendipity that is only lightened with a low chuckle escape. The languid youkai shifts himself up. Slender digits reaching forward yield him with a simple ceramic ware when it is offered to the others. "Try not to get the ashes anywhere, will you? I only enjoy snow when those are outside."
Following in movement is also a turn to face his friend when the last of the other's query is then replied to. "I have Hakuryuu." Forlorn, the statement may sound; yet, it is swiftly dismissed in another flash of self-preserving smile, following a playful wiggling of gracile index. "We make Lasagna; though you might not wish to go into the kitchen now..."
"ne~e."
"Well hello there! And where have you been hiding?"
Hiding. To conceal. An act to obscure what one wishes others never to see. Choice word the red haired has picked; and while, in some aspect of life, Hakkai cannot really argue that he, himself, preferably keeps those always concealed, ...hidden, the strategic location as to where he has recently been is never one of them.
He is here, after all, isn't he? In plain sight where the other's crimson orbs may find themselves resting where they may, where deep timbre making rough with booze and cheap cigarette may inquire what they may. Arguable, the question is. Yet, despite the inclination to nitpick his inquirer words for words, resolution is instead offered in the same serene smile swiftly revealed upon lips. "Hi~i, Gojyo." Head is tilted back, just slightly enough to find itself a resting place upon the couch's back where the cut raven tendrils make against washed out turquoise deems in blatant contrast to how pallid blue serves to complement jaded optics' gleam. "You know me. I'm just hanging around. ...Here." Index is raised to gesture in a vague manner to the said 'Here', twirled around to finally conclude with a light tone of "There~." and a jab of slender finger elsewhere.
With shoulder lift in a dismissing shrug, the green eyed youkai pats the seat by his side as he moves to accommodate. "Did you have a good day, hmm?"
