Hi Gra! I figure if anyone would know, it's you. Was there any word from Tyler or anyone on the show, that him missing more than 3 eps this season was due to his back injury/surgery? Or is it fan speculation so far, since it was around the same time as shooting for season 4?

100% fan speculation, there hasn't been any kind of announcement/confirmation/explanation (neither from CW or Tyler, Tyler only - famously - told us last November that we "would be unhappy at first, but then it would pay off"). I assume the speculation is based on Tyler mentioning back pain a couple of times in his stories last year, and the back surgery (which earned him a plate and screws to keep the vertebrae in his lower back in place - ouuuuch 😱) earlier this year.

There hasn't been an announcement about Amber (who previously also was in 10/13 episodes in S2 and S3) missing the first 6 episodes (and possibly more?) of S4 either btw.

I guess networks decide on a case-to-case basis whether they announce stuff like that, and in Tyler's case, it'd be confidential anyway if it was bc of medical reasons.

Just a little bit of positivity for your askbox: with cast in NM for s4, there is a slight but not completely negligible chance of a cast'n'crew episode watch party! Or at the very least maybe Vlamis will continue to livetweet himself into a frenzy :)

I'd LOVE that. Imagine if they'd all be in Santa Fe for the finale? I feel like that could be an episode they'd watch together as a cast. FINGERS CROSSED! Also, YES to more VlamLiveTweeting!
