Keenler in the lyrics ———

You can see in Ressler’s expressions (which DK executed beautifully😍) that he doesn’t feel good about not being completely open with Liz, especially at a moment that she has found “happiness”, but he made a promise to Red, and urged Red to be open to boot. What’s a loyal guy to do? Personally I think he compromised admirably here; he is both secret-keeper and truth-teller. 🤷‍♀️

Once I got past the Aramodie cringe factor, I had a closer look at the classic 80s song by The Thompson Twins, HOLD ME NOW. I like to think that it was actually intended for Keenler. The song begins when Red and Ressler are talking about Liz and Ressler is probably thinking how he doesn’t want to have to lie to her 💔.

Ar any rate, here are the lyrics. I found they fit remarkably well with the Keenler narrative, especially in light of this tenuous situation they are forced into anew (I added my own thoughts and observations in parentheses):
