“Cafe BBQ,” the sign of the Halfway House Cafe in Santa Clarita, one of the most utilized locations in the history of film and television.
You can see it in everything from a 1963 episode of the Kraft Suspense Theatre to the 1995 VHS horror Hatchet Man starring Lance Henrikson. You can see it in episodes of The Fugitive with David Janssen and in Jonathan Demme’s Caged Heat (1974) and in Albert Brooks’s Lost in America (1985).
It has retained the same look since the late 1950s and it's still in use.
