#AlbumOfTheDay #NowSpinning #NowPlaying "La Partition" - Uneven Structure - Since this album showed up at my door the day before it was available to the public, I've been listening to it nonstop front-to-back, with each listen after the first blowing me away more and more. Going into it, I still had "Februus" fresh on the mind and had expectations because of it, which made the first listen a little rough as it wasn't what I expected. Once I finally shed that though, this album showed it's true colors and has had me entranced ever since. It's a concept album, though I haven't had time to sit down and figure out its story. It's clearly split into three different sections of three tracks each that are all named in a similar manner (i.e. "Alkaline Throat"/"Brazen Tongue"/"Crystal Teeth"), with each section being divided by tracks with very atmospheric and ambient sounds that seem to set the stage for the next section of the story. These guys seem to have outdone themselves once again with this album, showing their mastery of progressive metal.
