Do you think everything we larries get is also fanservice? Like is it just buisness on all ends? Bc if so it would be an argument for larry not being as real as we like it to be? I am torn on this bc my close friends don't want me to rant on larry bc they say it is also just manipulation to buy stuff and engagement which I have to agree on and then I fell small and stupid as a larrie. But I think they should even be able to make cash from their relationship if they want to just like making money off the het relationships they "are" in. I just hope in the end it is their decision. If there are forces mgmt or whatever who keep them closeted it is of course not their decision or just in parts their own doings or even rebellion. I like to think it is but everyone I speak to says no all buisness these days. And when mgmt decides larry is making more profit if the larries eat up all the crumbs. And thrive if those are just crumbs... well than I feel more than betrayed

I’m just going to try and be succinct here. There is absolutely zero reason to “bait” larries. If anything, they are “straight baiting.”

They are closeted. When they queer code, or we notice something like lyrics that parallel each other, they are just living their lives and they are creating their art.

A company like Target that puts out rainbow-themed merchandise and celebrates queer people only in the month of June, is queer-washing (or queerbaiting) in order to make money. Harry wearing an outfit that resembles a nonbinary flag at his first show during pride month and changing his outro music to something that is heavily linked to Louis? Louis wearing a queer designer whose clothing is described as “trying to look tough whilst looking soft,” and another queer designer whose current collection is about how “love is strongest when everything’s against it”? That’s them publicly expressing their love for each other and their connection to the community in one of the only fucking ways they’re allowed to.

If that makes you want to buy something, feel free. But that’s not why they’re doing it.

And honestly, at this point, I find the whole “larriebaiting” conversation homophobic and insulting. Especially because it was created by people who used it as the only way to explain the constant connection between Harry and Louis, other than just fucking accepting that they’re together.

I admit i was having doubts if they were together for couple of years now but this together together thing is insane. Some bluegreening is whatever but all this can't be an accident or even larrybaiting because if they broke up they wouldn't be so coordinated. They released on the same day, so they're charting side by side and louis releases a song with repeating together together lyrics while Harry is selling his together together tour ????????

Yeah, I think if you're still insisting that all of the stuff that's been going on over the last 6 months or so isn't about Larry, then I can't help you. You're just refusing to see the blatantly obvious information smacking you in the face.

For me, it was never about any of the singular moments. Of course, some blue and green lights could be anything. But it was the hundreds of "coincidences" over the course of 15 years. How could ALL of them be misinterpretations?

The idea of larrie-baiting makes no sense to me. Assume Larry never existed and L and H were never anything more than friends (not what any of us believe, but just for arguments sake imagine this world). Let's assume the narrative is true, they were close friends and then Larry shipping caused them to drift apart, the band broke up, they don't see each other anymore and have totally separate careers.

Why would they be larrie-baiting all these years on? Assuming they were nothing to each other why would they be still signalling a decade after they last appeared together publicly and 12-13 years after they were friends? Like who puts that much thought into an ex-friendship and makes it such a big deal in their life/career? Sure, in this universe Larry was still important because it was a big phenomenon in fandom, but if there were no truth to it wouldn't they want their fans to move beyond it?

H especially is super popular in the mainstream. He doesn't need Larries and I think a lot of Larries would support him whether or not he signaled at this point because of everything in the past.

L is more niche and possibly/probably a higher percentage of his fans are Larries. Still assuming there never was a Larry it makes no sense that he would take the position he's in now of publicly denying it (bullshit 2.0, recent denials in 2022 or whenever) while on the side "larrie-baiting." It seems if Larry never existed this dissonance wouldn't exist. He would either leave it ambiguous (attracting the most possible Larries) or deny it outright (bc it's not true and he hates Larry). The current incongruity with his actions vs his denials only makes sense if Larry actually existed and it was covered up.

Hello Gina, this isn't the first time I've read about the supposed fanservice surrounding Larry, and they're all so wrong. Everyone sees the situation as if Larry is something from this decade and forgets that it's actually from about 15 years ago. They would never have risked their best, most appealing products for girls in the 2010s to fake a secret relationship between two members of the biggest boy band. What they would have done is force them to hide a real relationship. I know people see current LGBTQ+ artists having careers and think it's all smooth sailing, but it's not the same emerging as a queer artist in 2022 as it was in 2010. It's not even easy now, so years ago it must have been an even bigger nightmare. I'm not saying Larry can't generate an audience; obviously it does, and these are people who will buy merch, go to concerts, and do a lot for them. That's indirect, it doesn't mean it's their intention. How is it supposed to be fanservice when we have to dig deep to understand these men's minds? How is it supposed to be fanservice when there are things so subtle that if you don't know the story from the beginning or if you don't dedicate a huge amount of time to understanding Larry, you probably won't get it? Not to mention that it's not appealing to fall for this "fanservice,"🙄 to be larrie and know you'll be harassed; many people have left because of the harassment. I really don't understand the lack of critical thinking skills some people have.

I keep seeing anti’s fight about Harry & Louis Larrybaiting…um, what?

There is nothing good that can come from Harry putting a known Larry number prominently on his album cover to appease a small group of his fandom.

They benefit nothing, in the grand scheme of things, to lie in order to cater to Larries. Absolutely nothing. If anything, it gives them a bigger headache to have to figure out damage control & fake gf drama.

They really are so ridiculous. It must physically pain them to just step outside of this narrow little box and consider that just maybe they’ve been wrong.

But, no. They’d rather believe Harry and Louis are shitty people who would PRETEND TO BE QUEER AND IN A RELATIONSHIP FOR FIFTEEN YEARS just to keep a section of their fandom engaged. 😐

The engage all sides of the fandom. What do you think these “girlfriends” or “me little lad” conversations are all about? But they only ever see it as “larriebaiting.” It’s a very convenient explanation for anything antis don’t like.

I have to say for once I’m glad I fell down the rabbit hole lol. The excitement of having new music is awesome but it relating so much to Harry is even better!! I know it’s only us Larries that see it but who the hell cares what the others think 😜 Bring it on Louis!!
