The difference between Larris and Feenris is the spectrum of morosexuality the men fall on.
College Phoenix was a sweet, lovable dumbass who had a puppy like devotion to his girlfriend and the gift she gave him. For Iris, this was less the "God he's so stupid, I need him" brand of morosexuality and more the "Awwww <3" brand of morosexuality.
Now, Larry we know is equally as lovable and goofy. We know he's a great partner, in spite of his dopiness. However, when Iris found out that he attempted to confess his love through a letter that unintentionally came across as a blackmail letter, her reaction was very much the "God he's so stupid, I NEED HIM" brand of morosexuality.
