if anyone thinks i have a high horse because of this discussion, you’ve misunderstood. i don’t think my friends’ experiences are universal. but when one part of a community is violently affected, the other part that isn’t taking that brunt doesn’t actually have the right to say nothing is wrong. That’s like gay men proclaiming homophobia is over when wlw, bi and pan people, and frankly most gay men are still suffering immensely socially.

i am of the school of thought that the people you’re treating or trying to help need to have a voice, and if i have any way to amplify it for them, i will, because that’s how privilege works. laymen think psychologists are inherently more trustworthy than the patients on knowing shit, and if i can use that to educate laymen on mental health issues, i absofuckinglutely will, because most of the time i pass for neurotypical, and i gain some privilege from that.

It’s beautiful to see Regina and Henry come back together after he regains his memories.  As soon as imminent danger is gone (and after the ultimate display of true love between them), they immediately fall back into such a comfortable, familiar relationship. There is no awkwardness, so estrangement. It’s mother and son coming back together as if they’d never been apart, the only indication of their separation the questions about a year spent apart.

Dude, I gotchu. As I said, no one is perfect. I actually really dislike Holland’s personality and think she’s gross sometimes. I feel like people can change. Like, for example, Taylor Swift has become a supporter of feminism and apologized for most of her actions. I am not going to justify Holland’s actions any more than I’ll justify the actions of other celebrities who are more or just as problematic?
