She had noticed the little note he had tucked away; it had happened days ago however the decoration of the note told it had to have been some kind of Christmas card. So she waited until Christmas. It's short and sweet, but she's grinning exactly like the cat who got the cream. Eyeing Bruce whose currently entertaining William, she waves the little card to show she's read it and then she sets it down. Strides forward to interrupt them for a moment, or more gives William the task of getting their things together for the outing so the tall woman can plop down on Bruce's lap and wrap her arms around his neck. A kiss to his cheek, ❝ Y'know you are sweet; we like having you around too. ❞
It felt almost surreal, to be sat around the fireplace open presents on christmas morning with a family, though he's not so bored as to call them his family out loud, it certainly felt as if they were as he explains to young William how the baking soda volcano he got him works, making exaggerated motions with his hands, judging by the boy's reaction he'd found a science experiment that would hold his attention, that's when Greer catches his attention.
Arms wrap around the woman as she takes a seat in his lap, he loves that, loves her. He'd always been better at writing down his feelings then speaking them. Still, can't help but feel a twinge of embarrassment that she actually read that, it had left him more emotionally vulnerable then he'd like, look on her face made it worth it.
Gives her a bashful smile, stumbling over himself to find the right words to describe how happy that made him to hear. ❝ Ah, well, that's good, because I'm not planning on going anywhere ❞ With that he reaches up to plant a kiss on her lips.
