Movie Review: Love in the Villa

I super enjoyed this, and I think it's because Tom Hopper is adorable. I kept smiling at Charlie's antics and it truly is because it was Tom Hopper doing it. And Kat Graham is cute and I loved the energy she brought to the character.

And a lot of times the success of a romcom lies in the chemistry between the two leads, and I think they worked really well together.

There were some questionable events that happened though, like letting the cats into the apartment when Charlie was allergic. In real life that could have been really bad, for the movie he had some hives and sneezes and that was it. At the end he "shot his shot" assuming she was engaged, which you could interpret as romantic and going out on a limb, or rude knowing she was involved with someone else.

But you know, romcom, we'll look at these in the lighthearted way they were meant to be.

I enjoyed the music, a few covers in Italian, so that was fun. I'm so so on the outfits for Julie, some were nice but some... like the one with the scarf on her head was not great?

I chuckled and enjoyed the lighthearted feel of it. The actors were really good with each other. And omg! Cassie was played by Tom Hopper's real life wife, which makes it even more funny. (Cassie was engaged to Charlie and said "o.m.g." about 6 times in the small screen time she had).
