Hello there!

I unfortunately don't make video edits - I know it's embarassing as a film student but also as someone who did study film editing, I can admit that my editing skills are shit hahaha which is why I don't do them.

That being said I did reach out to my fandom twin Lav aka @sweetestviscount who does amazing edits and asked if she would be up for it and she is! I hope that's okay ☺ So keep an eye out for her version I'll reblog and tag you in it when she has posted it 👌🏾👌🏾 Can't wait to see what Lav comes up with!

Also do you know if he has the version of his cover anywhere else (YT would be best)? Because we're currently trying to download the audio to make the edit

Aang is nonbinary and uses he/they pronouns. they really love it when the people around them use both of their pronouns equally 

Katara and Sokka pretty seamlessly switch between he and they for Aang, sometimes in the middle of sentences, and he loves them so much for doing that. 

(Gyatso used to do that for him too.)

Katara’s a transfem enby and uses she/they, though she tends to prefer she/her over they/them most of the time.

Sokka’s a trans dude and uses exclusively he/him. He starts out being kind of close-minded about gender roles and at first doesn’t really understand Katara and Aang’s nonbinary identities, but he grows more open-minded and supportive, and by the time they reach the NWT, he’s ready to give Pakku a lecture about how gender is a social construct. 

Suki is also nonbinary and uses they/she pronouns. When they were a kid, they were super nervous about joining the Kyoshi Warriors because they thought that only girls could be Kyoshi Warriors and they knew they weren’t entirely a girl, but their mom sat them down and told them that Kyoshi was nonbinary and the Kyoshi Warriors were open to anyone who had some sort of relationship with womanhood, no matter how complicated it was. 

I have seen and loved trans guy Jet hcs and genderfluid Jet hcs, but I’m gonna project real quick and say that Jet is agender. 

Jet never really thought about gender until Smellerbee came out as a trans girl, and then wasn’t sure what to think about their own gender

They were kind of just like “well, I don’t have dysphoria, so I must be cis I guess!” 

But then after meeting Aang they learn about gender euphoria and start thinking about hir gender a little more before coming to the conclusion that ze doesn’t really have an experience of gender at all. 

Jet uses any and all pronouns and delights in the experience of watching transphobes try to misgender him. He does tend to go through phases where ze’ll prefer ze/hir or they/them, but it’s a pretty minor preference and ze’s good with basically anything, because pronouns=/=gender (and even if they did Jet doesn’t have a genda.

Smellerbee is as I said before a trans girl (she/her) and while she’s not worried about coming out at all, she’s definitely concerned about how she’ll be read as a girl when she still wants to present in a fairly butch way, but the other Freedom Fighters are really good about respecting her pronouns and her presentation and she loves them for it. 

Mai’s a trans girl (she/her). She started wearing long flowy dresses because she felt like she needed to hide her body, but then she started liking her body more. 

She still wears long, flowy dresses to hide all her knives, of course, but when she’s off the clock she’s not as concerned about what people think of what she looks like

I personally prefer desuan and I'll add Eska x Opal and Bolin x Wei (although I love Bopal too). As for the desuan/hudesna renaissance I'm here for it !!!!
