Well, the party sure did need a rogue - welcome Chetney.

Half of me is still expecting him to die and for Travis to come in next as Lawrence Lorelei. And Lawrence dies around level 10, and he comes back with Macaroni Samsonite.

For the prompts (even though the timelines wouldn't add up) Lawrence Lorelei is Tary's Lawerence, after Tary returns to Wildemount and they start dating again Lawrence wants to introduce him to his family and let him in on the family secret.

Guess who had this in my drafts for like a year or two and forgot about it and only just saw it again! It’s me! This is what I am deciding is a prologue or short first chapter now. Someone else suggest a name for it please.

“You taught this kid right? Did your tutor thing and dated this kid, whose father fired you and tried to kill you? For dating his kid or whatever?”

“It was much more complicated then that, and neither of us were kids or children, but that is the jist of it yes.”

Benicio chuckled, making lawrence regret his word choice, “Ya sure you dont want me to…fuck him up a little? Father guy deserves it probably.”

“I would rather you not, from what Tary has told me, his father is a bit better then he had been before.”

Beni shrugged and stood, slapping Lawrence hard on the back as he left, “Whatever bro, offer stands either way. See you and your chew toy nerd later.”

Lawrence tells his father first of his plans of course, once he returns to the castle grounds with the idea already fully formed and considered. It won’t be hard, he reasons, to introduce Taryon to him and his siblings when most have moved back into the house after the ordeal with their grandfather. Aurra visits, he’s sure that she will visit to meet his boyfriend. 

The concern on his fathers face isn’t disapproving, more weary as he always has been whenever the threat of their secret is concerned, Lawrence chooses to take that as a good sign once he’s done explaining everything, “You believe this man to be trustworthy, Lawrence?” he asks, after a few seconds contemplating. 

Lawrence nods without even considering hesitating. Why would he, when he had known and loved Tary for awhile, even while apart? “Of course. He even has grown a little more kind and caring, since I last saw him. I trust him with this father.” 

Haldor nods, worry not gone even as he stands from the chair to place a hand on his shoulder, “If you believe this is a good idea to pursue, I trust your judgement, both in entrusting him with this, and in dealing with the aftermath if it proves to be a problem.”

Lawrence nods tersely, understanding despite how his mouth dries at the thought, “Of course. I don’t think it would need to come to that, truly, he wouldn’t have anything to gain using it against us.” 

Haldor steps away, worry melting away as he slowly smiles, “Perhaps, but that is no matter right now. Invite him over for the day after tomorrow and I’ll arrange for a feast be made. If all goes well, I look forward to meeting who you have chosen to court with. Be sure to mention to you’re siblings of your intention so they also may meet him.” he instructs as he carefully ascended the stairs, out of the sitting room and towards his room. 

Lawrence watches him go, staring at the stairs for a minute as he considers his father’s words and the knowledge that he’d soon share everything he was with Taryon while his siblings would surely tease him about his crush.

“Well, shit.” he mutters, leaving the sitting room so he could find one of the staff to send a letter to where Tary said he was staying, before he searches the grounds for Benicio.

I feel like we haven't discussed the potential chaos of Lawrence Lorelei being Tary's Lawrence enough. Cause, like, sure. Lawrence with any member of Vox Machina or the Darrington Brigade is all good and fine but have we considered Tary with his in-laws??

Like. I have absolutely no idea how that would go but I feel like it would be incredible. Straight up none of the Lorelei's would probably like Tary at first cause they're all varying degrees of prickly and yet... he's perfect for Lawrence in his own way.

Idk man, idk. Just. Beni and Tary get stuck doing some mundane task together or like, trying to plan a surprise birthday for Lawrence but it's the true chaos of both of those guys trying to agree on an idea.

Also Sam could do the entire adventure as the only player and that would give me life
