How did the trial go yesterday? You don’t have to answer if you don’t want to or can’t, but I’m curious to know what it was about. :3
I don’t really mind, as long as I don’t give specific details, it’s fine. It was a hearing to request parole for someone—a person who’s in a rehabilitation program in prison and someone I’ve worked with before.
The trial went well because we had a lot in our favor and, not to toot my own horn, but I’m pretty damn good at what I do. But it was a massive headache because the prosecutor in this case is a complete pain in the ass who always makes arguments that drive me up the wall. I already knew he was going to piss me off in this case because my client is a repeat offender, but oh well. In the end, everything worked out fine—the judge’s ruling was in our favor.
The thing is, it put me in a really bad mood, and the bad mood from a trial doesn’t go away easily for me, even if things go well on my end. But I got the parole.
