An AU where SQQ!SY can see Meng Mo hovering over LBQ's shoulder after the dream montage arc. SQQ never acknowledges the guy verbally, but makes prolonged eye contact while drinking tea and used his RBF to full-effect just to make the demon sweat. Meng Mo is super annoyed, but he can't really do anything unless he wants to risk SQQ going to the sect leader and casually mentioning his pet disciple is possessed by an old demon man (no thank you), so he has to be a fly on the wall watching SQQ obliviously flirt with LBQ while also getting glared at by the guy 24/7.

LBQ internally: If Shizun finds out I'm a demon he'll banish me from the sect! Or kill me! I can't be his wife if he kills me Meng Mo!

Meng Mo, who's been in a staring contest with SQQ for half an hour: Kid I think you'll be fine (and if he does kill you, it'd be a mercy kill for me at this point)

This is not so different than canon, lmao, but i think sometimes I forget that MM is chilling with LBQ the entire time. That poor demon.

So months back a few peaked-already-self-important-probably-t*ump-voting classmates from my high school planned an off year reunion (like, not even near a milestone reunion) for this Friday. During a pandemic, but who is surprised? 

And all I can think about, going through the invite list of those who are even still on facebook, is that HOLY hell, my class had so many LGBTQ kids, particularly women (like, a particularly high percentage), that could never have come out in that environment, but are living their best lives now. We love to see it.
