Lunar New Year 2019 meal - Year of the Pig illustration

Previous years I had painted character designs based on that year’s animal. This year, I wanted to try creating an illustration instead. 

I think part of me wanted to draw & paint food again, haha.

Sweets Cafe  - table & chair

Part of the project was for me to get into prop design more, thus starting with what I believed to be the simplest topic: furniture. I’ll have to revisit these though, specifically the chair as it’s a different art style than the table design.

Yorkie and camera (study)

At the time, I don’t know how the idea came to me but it did! (In reality, I don’t know if the weight of the yorkie would damage the camera.)

I’m highly considering making a stylized line art version, or something similar to stickers.

Diana Lang’s Retractable Shield Gauntlet - ortho

The next prop I decided to work on was Diana’s Shield Gauntlet. I never made the original one quite as fancy (I should have!) so I’m really glad I decided to take the original and redesign it completely. Well, almost completely; the retractable feature was something I really wanted to make for a shield design, and so I kept that feature but the appearance changed.
