"You have to eat big to get big." Sure... If gaining excess fat counts. 🙄. . A big calorie surplus (aka a "dirty bulk") does not mean extra muscle gain compared with a conservative surplus. Extra surplus just means extra fat gain. If you are in a gaining or mass building phase, it should not be an excuse to eat all the things. Big bulk = more fat = more cutting = more potential muscle loss when getting lean again. . A "lean bulk" is what you should aim for. The goal is to add muscle, but minimize fat gain. Find your sweet spot by slowly adding in calories each week until you are averaging between .25 and .5 lbs gained per week. 👌🏻. . This is the current condition during my off-season while implementing a lean bulk. 6 foot, 193 lbs, and around 12-13% body fat. 👌🏻. Strength is increasing each week with minimal fat gain. . . . . . . . #ketoinglife #currentcondition #offseasongains #leanbulk #leanbulking #gettingstronger #ketogains #ketogenicbodybuilding #ketobodybuilding #selfdiscipline #disciplineyourself #caloriesurplus #fitover40 #bodybuildingtips #fitnessphysique https://www.instagram.com/p/CTFEuVsgO5-/?utm_medium=tumblr
