just using this as a journal really but happy one month since the last post I made about learning ukrainian. still haven’t learned much in terms of grammar and conversation but last post mentioned printing off writing sheets and now I can write the language decently and I don’t have to rely solely on a tracing sheet anymore (although some letters like ч, г/ґ, м still confuse the absolute fuck out of me, how you are supposed to connect those ones in cursive lowercase literally don’t even know). also able to sound out words now (pronunciation is still very hard but I know what the sounds are now). think this all for now. just using this to see how far I get, love the language love ukraine

The first aid competition, I've been studying for the last couple of weeks, is on this weekend, so I started to pack my suitcase today. We'll leave tomorrow afternoon and arrive sometime in the evening. The theory part will be on Saturday (wish me luck). The competition is in Leipzig (pretty cool city) and I'm looking forward to the weekend because at the same time I can have fun with my friends from our team. I hope all the studying will pay off!
Despite Russia's efforts, the Ukrainian language will never die. It now lives beyond Russia's control. I have yet to learn the grammar, but I hope every word I learn helps to spit in the faces of those that work to exterminate it.

The fuck i didn't know the duolingo plus payment for a year (90)e GOES ON A SINGLE TRANSFER, no monthly thing or something, JUST A WHOLE DAMN 90e at once the fuck
I'm not saying i feel robbed, since i would probably use it for a year but jesus that was a bigger sum that i expected. Student budget and all.
That means no more fresh food or processed anything this month. Potatoes beans and cabbages. Soups and stews. Recipes from the great depression.
