Upsides about playing the flute
1. You usually get some really pretty melodies.
2. Knowing the fingerings for a whole whack of other instruments.
3. Watching the reactions of people who dont see ledger lines frequently.

5. Double tonguing like a boss.

Ledger Lines
Outside of the confines of the treble clef staff we have ledger lines that that extend the staff when we run out of room, allowing us to add extra notes. They can be added above or below the treble and bass staff. Those below the staff are the lower notes, while those above are higher notes.
