TYRANNOSAURUS! ❤️⚡ It was about time for some fanart of the awesome Jason Lee Scott, inspired by Mighty Morphin, Zeo, and BOOM! Studios comics… The original Red Ranger, the definition of courage and leadership 🦖⚡

I wonder what's the difference 🤔.
OK I guess it's not well known, but here it is for your edification true believers. As Miss America, America Chavez is a legacy hero in Marvel. Marvel's first Miss America was Madeline Joyce, a Golden Age hero. Here they both are...
The Golden Age Miss America 1st appeared in Marvel Mystery Comics 49, 1943. After a couple appearances in that series she got her own solo book, only the third superheroine ever to do so. She also appeared in All Winners Comics with the rest of the publisher's top characters
America Chavez is a fairly new and unique character forging new ground in Marvel. Hopefully her impending movie appearance in Dr Strange will lead to even more success. But she also carries forward and redefines a damn fine mantle that enhances the legacy she bears. Wepa!
Going deeper into season two of Stargirl, my biggest hope character-development-wise is that Beth Chapel gets to do more as herself. In season one, most of her participation in the superheroics was just “Wore the Doctor Mid-Nite goggles”. She’d ask “Chuck” a question and relay the answer to the others, but wouldn’t really have a part in interpreting the information or enacting the results. She wasn’t “the guy in the chair”, she was just the messenger for the guy in the chair.
And this makes sense, because unlike Wildcat, Hourman, and Stargirl, the item she obtained didn’t actually grant her any new abilities. This means she’s still a normal 15 years old going up against supervillains. So even though she’s The Nerd of the group, it is perfectly realistic for her to not be a super-hacker who can out-tech The Gambler. It’d be ridiculous if she was actually infiltrating a supervillain tech center (And if they’d had her do that I likely would be on here writing “Oh it’s so ridiculous that she can do this with no training!”).
But now that she has been introduced to this world I’d like to see her begin to catch up herself. Begin to learn how some of this technology works, and begin to experiment with her own coding. Really grow into the role of Doctor Mid-Nite instead of just carrying him around.
The story-arc practically writes itself: From the “I’m not Doctor Mid-Nite without the goggles” inciting incident when she briefly loses access to them all the way to the “I am worthy on my own, and I am Doctor Mid-Nite, not the goggles” triumph.
