LEGO Contest for Ages 6-14 at the Slidell Branch

Above are photos from our 2015 LEGO Construction Contest at Slidell Branch. There are still spots available for the 2016 competition that will take place on Saturday, February 13.

Our theme this year 2016- "Book Mash-Up"! Create a LEGO structure/scene of your own by combining elements from two favorite book!  Registered participants compete for prizes in 3 different age groups: 6-8yrs, 9-11yrs, 12-14yrs.  Structure must demonstrate the theme: "Book Mash-Up: Combine scenes, places or characters from two favorite books."  Structures will be judged on creativity and originality. Structures may not recreate a design from a LEGO kit or use Bionicles, Technics, Clikits or other specialty LEGOs.  Structure cannot be larger than 18" x 18" x 18."  Participants must be present during judging.
