Seeing some people hypothesize that this season of Monkie Kid will end with MK quitting his role as the monkey king’s successor on account of all the horrible things he’s had to suffer through alone often because of Sun Wukong’s past & current actions & with that inspiration here’s some quick messy doodles of a remorseful Wukong who’s given up his armor for buddhist robes (in remembrance of the last time in his life he was truly happy for an extended period of time and felt like he was doing something good ahaha), gotten back into fighting violent demons for humanity’s sake, and renewed his 500+ year refusal to even attempt making genuine connections with others because he’s now completely convinced he’s incapable of becoming close to anyone without hurting them.
