idol!Louis x goth!reader — ᨳ𐔌՞҂ ˕ ֊՞𐦯ᜊ
IN WHICH: Ryul invites LNGSHOT to his house for a sleepover since they had a free day today. That's when Louis meets reader. Someone.. who dressed differently than the average person in Korea. A bit freaked out, but embraced the style! Somehow!
CONTAINS: Swearing, reader is lowk a meanie (・o・). Rebellious reader.
"Nice home, man." Ohyul smiled at his bandmate, humming as he sat down with the others.
"Thanks dude." Ryul responds with a lazy smile, "The house is pretty much ours. Parents aren't home, oh but be warned." he adds on, holding a singular finger up.
"My little sibling's home, and they might speak a random selected language to you if you approach them, or potentially bite your kneecaps off." Ryul says, half a joke but half serious. The others laugh, shaking their head.
"Since when did you have a sibling?" asks Woojin first, raising an eyebrow.
"Since 2011." they deadpanned, as if it was the most obvious thing ever— resulting in a chuckle from Ohyul.
"What did you mean by random selected language?" Ohyul suddenly asks, genuinely curious what Ryul could possibly mean.
"My sibling, Y/n— has this thing where they love learning languages. It's absurd." Ryul shook his head, snorting. "A prodigy with languages one could say."
"2011 too? Man they're crazy talented if they can pick up a lot." Ohyul smiled, offering a compliment out.
"My age.. interesting." Louis mumbled aloud, as Ryul inhales a laugh.
"I think they're learning French right now, but I dunno." Ryul sing-songed, grinning like a Cheshire cat.
"Anyhow, they're probably busy right now. So let's just prioritise enjoying." Ryul would exclaim, and turn the TV on, and snatching some game controllers from under a table.
"Tekken?" Ohyul would suggest a game, seeing the cartridges by the shelf under the table.
"Bet." Ryul slots out the game, and looks up at Woojin and Louis.
"Can you two get us snacks? Kitchen by that hall to the right." Ryul would guide, pointing his fingers at a small hallway leading out the living room.
"Okay." Woojin nods, as Louis followed him out to the kitchen. They stepped in the vicinity of the homey kitchen, and they saw a blur of black suddenly past the other hallway in front of them. They shrug it off, took chips they found inside the pantry after a long search and returned.
The group played games for a time they didn't even know anymore, fingers mashing, laughing obnoxiously as their voices rang through the whole house.
It was nine pm, and quite frankly Y/n was done with their brother. The eyeliner on their hands fell idle as she slammed it on her drawer, pushing her self off, wearing a shirt, trench coach dangling off their shoulders, makeup half done— face white and ruffles. Oh Y/n knew there was other people in the house. Quite frankly, they didn't care. Their brother didn't even warn them his group was coming over. Slamming their room door open, they didn't even waste effort walking out to the living room.
"RYUL!" Y/n shrieked out, genuinely getting pissed. The silence deafens, the house goes quiet. Not even the faint buzz of the light or the AC in Y/n's room made noise.
"조용히 하세요!" (Keep it down!) Y/n would yell out, slamming the door back shut again. The sound isn't as loud. There isn't laughs anymore.
Now, all Y/n had to do was wait for midnight and they could finally sneak out! Ryul would've never agreed if they dared ask permission.
So what they do in the meantime? Headphones on, listening to Christian Death, humming lyrics under their breath softly — waiting for the clock to strike twelve.
Louis' eyes slowly blurred awake, taking in the darkness that covered his bandmate's room. He sat up his beanbag, frustrated at the sudden wake. He opened his phone, 11:58 pm.
"Putain de merde." he groans quietly, making sure no one had heard him wake up. He contemplated standing for a bit, but reluctantly did so for water. He prier himself out the room, opened the hallway lights and—
"Quoi dans le—" he yelps, but was shut up as a figure stalked over quickly to put their hands over his lips, yanking him down in the process.
"Shush, do you wanna wake them?!" the person would hiss out, and closed the door behind Louis.
".. Non… pas d’anglais?" (N- no English?) he tried to excuse so he didn't have to talk to someone who looked fresh out a vampire novel.
... they were kinda cute.
"Ne faites pas de bruit," (Be quiet.) Y/n trailed off, stumbling slightly. "Sinon vous allez les réveiller." (Or you'll wake them up.)
"Who are you exactly?" Louis finally stammers out, as Y/n made their way for the front door.
"Y/n. Your hyung's younger sibling." ah, it made sense now.
"Your.. style. You're going out at night like that?" Louis asked, not judgemental. Just curious. "Does Ryul-hyung know?"
"Course' he doesn't. I'm meeting with a friend he thinks is a bad influence for me. Of course I'm sneaking out."
"Do you have to do it.. Si tard?" (So late?) Louis found himself asking. "It's dangerous at night.
"Psh, go get your beauty sleep. I'll be fine." Y/n shook their head and already walked outside, opening the door.
Louis, who had nothing to do followed suit. "You have good French," he'd say as he quickly put his shoes on and caught up, closing the door behind him.
"You followed?" Y/n croaked out, looking up at the tall idol. "And thanks. I'm learning."
"You're the french one right?" Louis nodded at that.
"Coolio." Y/n said, and gave a smile Louis didn't know was rare. "You're my age right?"
"Where are we going?" Louis slowly asked, stalking behind Y/n like a tall guard dog.
"7/11. Where else?" Y/n shook their head, as the street lamps below illuminated their pathway, even by just slightly.
"If my friend stares at you, it's probably cause you're dressed in pajamas." the goth advised, as Louis suddenly felt self aware- stiffening as he walked.
Y/n felt very amused at that.
"We're here." Y/n snapped back the tall idol in reality, as they walked in.
Y/n's friend— Kaiko was also gothic. Trad goth, body not quite female, not quite male, slightly more intense than how Y/n presented.
"Y/n," he'd greed calmly, smiling and eyed Louis.
"Hey, aren't you that guy from LNGSHOT?" he asked, eyes scanning over Louis.
"Ah, yeah. Louis." Louis would answer, nodding looking down at the guy kindly.
"Brother invited him over, and his crew.. he followed me out here." Y/n dismissed, and beelined to the fridges to buy a can of that delicious Red Bull.
"You make it sound like we're bad people," Louis muttered under his breath, remembering how LNGSHOT fans can get negative too, it bubbled in his stomach.
Kaiko, sensing something off, quickly retreated. "Good luck man." and quickly ran off. His friend senses tingled.
"I didn't say you were a bad person. I'm saying things as it is." Y/n bluntly stated, and walked to the cashier to pay. As the transaction of items happened, Louis sighs. A sharp sigh. Defiance.
Y/n knew that sigh. The sigh of trying to fight back.
"You think I'm joking?" they warned lightly, shaking their head with a tsk.
"It's just annoying how my brother invited you all without telling me."
"I understand, but don't take it out on us. On me." Louis oddly enough, didn't back down. Even when Y/n would stare with that terrifying stare..
He didn't. Y/n smiled again, and laughed. The cashier froze, as Y/n took their drink.
"You.." Y/n breathed out amused. "You're cool."
"Y/n said you were cool?!" Ryul exclaimed, as Louis shrugged.
Louis had lied to Ryul saying the two only stayed up in the kitchen at night when everyone was asleep. Everyone believes it, but he didn't lie about the smile. The look. Nope.
"Is that rare?" Louis raised an eyebrow.
"Y/n is an antisocial shit." Ryul lifted his mug of coffee up. "Never talks. Always so broody, and that look. Y/n got the resting bitch face or how our eomma looks when she's mad." Ryul explained, as Woojin laughed.
"They smiles at no one. Hell not even me, their brother." Ryul drawled out. "The guy was bullied before making him basically go quiet to everyone. It's rare, and them speaking in a different language to you besides English too?"
"Lucky. I don't know how I'm related to them. They're like a creature from the underworld dude." Ryul snorted at his own joke. "Especially how they dress and the music they listen to, like what?"
"You're also a creature from the underworld." Woojin mused. "Also that's offensive to goths."
"I know.. no judgment to them. Only to my sibling." Ryul said, as Ohyul laughs softly at that.
And at that moment, Louis realised he didn't just befriend someone. He befriended a person misunderstood, someone treated like a shiny Pokémon. Shocked at being rare, and that's it.
Louis smiled, shooting Y/n a look, who stood there hiding behind a corner. But the smile wasn't teasing, or cunning. It was warm of reassurance. He saw. How'd he know Y/n was there, is beyond Y/n.
And tonight? Y/n would warm up again.
They may not talk face to face always, due to schedules and all— but one thing for sure, is that Y/n and Louis got close.
