Me, literally just woke up: What if Puppet Reader picked up Making Omamori from Yae or Makoto (( Makoto Strikes me as the kindnto Try and craft and be decent, Ei might try and it ends up like her cooking )). And Both Yae and Makoto had a specific way of decorating their Omamori that reader picked up and Still Does. If by chance Yae ever sees it and makes a Snide comment about it because they're still So Much Makoto's Creation It Hurts.

I would gun for Makoto in this scenario since it was mentioned by Yae herself that she wasn't exactly close with her, and by extension puppet reader. Perhaps when Yae commented the similarity to Makoto, they try to change it up but ended up copying Yae's style instead (they might have remembered it back in their old life) and as such, they get even more frustrated

Okay fuck if that's how we're going then they would start doubting their own creations, if they were theirs to begin with. Puppet reader is well aware of their retrograde amnesia and starts to doubt many things about themselves

Does the Ouroboros work here too? Hahaha, the fates against them is the best way to phrase it in the ouchiest way possible
