A hearty and tasty vegetarian burger made with walnuts, lentils, and tasty spices. Great for a meal without meat.
Ingredients: 1 cup cooked lentils. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 tsp cumin powder. 1 tsp paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 1/4 cup grated cheese optional. 4 burger buns. Lettuce leaves. Sliced tomatoes. Sliced red onion. Mayonnaise or your favorite sauce.
Instructions: Put chopped walnuts, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a food processor and blend them all together. Mix until everything is well mixed. If you want, you can add grated cheese after moving the mixture to a bowl. Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty. Set a grill or pan over medium-high heat and oil it a little. The lentil and walnut patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are golden and done. You can grill or toast the burger buns until they are just slightly crispy. Put lettuce leaves, a lentil walnut patty, sliced tomatoes, and red onion on the bottom bun to make the burgers. On top, put mayonnaise or your favorite sauce. Put the other half of the bun on top and serve hot. Enjoy your tasty Linsen Walnuss Burger that you made yourself!
