𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍔 @heurafoods.eng have launched some new Mediterranean inspired plant-based products and I think they are VERY good! Their burger patties are really nice, very similar to the likes of Beyond and Moving Mountains which I love anyway, and a lot healthier than your usual meat version. They’re made from textured pea protein and take 5 minutes in a pan. Then we have their “Chunks”, which is their vegan chicken. I think this is the best vegan chicken I’ve tried. Other types I’ve tried have been more like a McDonald’s chicken nugget where you have a grinded processed type of meat. This is more like actual bits of chicken from the bone. They’re made from a soy concentrate and come in various flavours, such as spiced, original, and Mediterranean. Plus they taste even better cold the next day! This vegan falafel burger is packed with flavor and texture, making it a satisfying and delicious meal. The falafel patties are made with chickpeas, fresh herbs, and spices, then pan-fried until crispy. Serve them on lettuce leaves with your favorite burger toppings for a nutritious and tasty dish.
Ingredients: 1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed. 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley. 1/4 cup chopped red onion. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons chickpea flour. 1 teaspoon ground cumin. 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander. 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons olive oil. Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, sliced cucumber, for serving.
Instructions: In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, red onion, garlic, chickpea flour, cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Pulse until mixture is well combined but still slightly chunky. Form the mixture into patties, about 1/4 cup each. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Serve the falafel patties on lettuce leaves with tomato slices and sliced cucumber.
