“are you awake?”
jisung whispered hoping that maybe speaking in a softer tone wouldn’t wake her. it did.
heeyoung stirred slightly, her body awake but eyes still closed. her fingers carded through his soft, extremely outgrown blonde hair, massaging the dark roots with a deep breath. the sweet scent of her shampoo that he used when he showered there filling her senses as he buried his head further into her neck.
jisungs hands slid up under her shirt and traveled up her midsection, not stopping until they rested firmly on her chest, squeezing her boobs gently. heeyoung laughed softly, her eyes barely open as she looked down at his hands.
“you woke me up to grope me?” she questioned making him lift up his head with a chuckle. he shook his head making his bangs fall into his eyes as he rested his chin on her shoulder to get the perfect view of her face.
“no i just like your boobs,“ he squeezed them once for emphasis "they’re soft.” he smiled.
“wake me up for no reason again and you’ll never get to touch them again.” heeyoung jokingly snapped, closing her eyes again in hopes of falling back asleep. she smiled softly when she heard his light laugh ring through the air.
“it wasn’t for no reason,“ he whined, sitting up and shaking her body gently. "wake up , it’s important.”
“nooooo,” she groaned, rolling away from his touch. heeyoung’s pout deepened as he leaned over and spun her back.
“listen to me” he shook her harder.
“i fucking hate you,” heeyoung glared at him despite his laugh that softened her heart as it always did.
“you’re being very mean and i don’t appreciate it considering it’s our 18 month anniversary,” he smiled down at her.
heeyoungs eyebrows furrowed as she stared up at him. her head rolled to the side trying to read the time off of the digital clock on her bed side table.
[ 02:05 ;10 may 2020 ]
her head snapped back towards him, “oh my god,” she muttered.
she forgot. she doesn’t know how the date had just missed her mind. or how her parents leaving and jaehyun’s return to korea -forcing her out of her shared room with cece out of fear of seeing them fucking ... again- coincided with her need to be alone with her own boy . or how everything perfectly aligned with the occasion. the stars always seemed to align when it came to heeyoung and jisung. life always worked out in their favor somehow. jisung would say it’s because he’s the universe's favorite or because they were soulmates.
jisung first said that to heeyoung the first time they had sex. the whole thing was spontaneous much to jisung’s dismay. he apparently had a plan with candles, rose petals and a playlist. heeyoung laughed at him when he told her that but deep down she felt her heart swell to twice its size.
he told her they were soulmates in a voice barely above a whisper. it was a whine muffled into her hair that could’ve been brushed off if she wasn’t paying attention, but she knew she heard him. she knew he said it. he repeated it afterwards, twice. once in a broken whisper as he came down then again as they drifted to sleep, much more confident in his statement this time.
jisung’s romantic speeches although they could be overwhelming at times, they were some of her favorite memories. one specific speech stood out to her as she stared at her boy a little longer.
“you know why our birthdays are barely a day apart?” jisung asked quietly , not wanting to break the soothing atmosphere they created in heeyoung’s tiny bed in the dorms. the clock just hit midnight signaling that his birthday just ended but hers just began.
heeyoung hummed in response, not wanting to open her eyes but wanting him to know she was listening. “because as soon as i was born the universe knew that i couldn’t exist without you so you were born hours later,” heeyoung proceeded to make loud gagging noises in her half asleep state making the boy laugh loudly but hold her tightly nonetheless.
when jisung left that afternoon his words stayed. they moved around her mind all night and all day. jisung always knew what to say to make her heart flutter. she hadn’t even realised she was crying as the shower water pelted onto her until a particularly loud sniffle echoed around the dorm bathroom . she loved him so much.
jisung made heeyoung soft.
this was proven when she kissed him on the floor of his dorm room. they were drunk , talking about nothing yet everything. there was something about the way jisung looked at her and called her special that made her melt into the hardwood floor. she was stunned silent, that never happened. heeyoung always had something to say . but there she was , speechless in front of her favorite person on earth.
then she kissed him.
it was also proven when she cried after their first time but she made him swear to never tell anyone about that.
jisung lifted one hand to stroke her cheek, smiling softly at the heat radiating from the blush gracing her cheeks. “what are you blushing about?” he asked quietly with a small raise of his brows, making heeyoung shrug softly.
"oh nothing just thinking about hyunjin,” she deadpanned, watching his previously smug expression fall entirely.
“not funny,” he mumbled trying best to fight off the smile on his face.
“so funny,” she laughed, her own hands moving up to cup his cheeks. she squished them together with a giggle. the squish made his lips fall into a pout as a result, making her heart flutter.
heeyoung rolled her eyes seeing how his pout didn’t disappear as she relaxed her hands to just cup his cheeks-her favorite feature of his. “obviously i was thinking about you dumbass.” he finally let his lips fall out of their pout.
“what about me?” he said in an almost sing-song voice. it was far too smug for heeyoung’s liking but she’d tease him another day, today she was feeling soft.
“just about how you’re really cute all the time, and you make me happy. i just really love you and stuff…,” jisung cheeks hurt from how much he was smiling, but he couldn't help it.
jisung pushed her boobs up before letting them fall back down into their natural position, he smiled thoroughly amused with what he was doing. “you really know how to ruin a moment han jisung.” she rolled her eyes her smile still not leaving her face.
he laughed softly down at her as he held her boobs in his palms once again. “yea but you still really love me and stuff.” he teased looking down at heeyoung with a small smile. he leaned down to place a chaste kiss to the corner of her mouth as her cheeks flushed once again.
“um…i actually woke you up because i wanted to give you something” jisungs face suddenly reddened and his eyes shifted awkwardly.
heeyoung could tell he was nervous. he didn’t have to say anything ; she knew him better than anyone. she furrowed her eyebrows and ran her hands up his back soothingly hoping to get rid of the clear nervousness he had. her concerned expression made jisungs heart soften and his shoulders lose tension.
“i’ll be right back…um … don’t move,” he reluctantly disconnected himself from her as he quickly hopped off the bed to open up his backpack.
his demeanor grew more and more stressed the longer he looked. heeyoung’s confusion grew with it causing her to sit up in the bed to try to get a better look at what he could possibly be looking for.
“jisung what-?”
“i swear i put it in here?” he mumbled, continuing his search turning the entire bag upside down. the little excited sound he made had her assuming he finally found what he was looking for . he speedily made his way back onto the bed. the way the mattress bounced startling her slightly.
the nervous energy returned to the room as jisungs eyes drifted around refusing to land on hers.
he took a deep breath and finally looked into heeyoung’s eyes. she looked beyond confused her brows furrowed so deeply in concern as she grew more and more lost. with a soft laugh through his nose jisung kissed the space between her eyebrows successfully easing out the creases in it .
“i got you this,” he mumbled, taking her hand and placing a small box in it.
the first thing heeyoung noticed was the giant gucci logo on the stylish white and black box. her mind instantly flooding with guilt knowing the insane prices of any item at gucci.she stared at it, her heart beat picking up the longer she looked at it.
“it’s ...um … a present, for our anniversary,” he scratched the back of his neck watching her shaking hands open it up.
heeyoung’s eyes visibly bulge staring at the silver band. a ring. jisung got her a fucking ring.
to say her mind was racing was an understatement. how could he buy her a ring?sure heeyoung loves rings and accessories in general but something about jisung buying her an insanely expensive , pretty ring had her palms sweating profusely
is he proposing? heeyoung pushed that thought far away as soon as it entered her mind. she knew she would literally pass out if she looked at him and he was on one knee.her eyes shifted towards him , thankful to see he was still sitting on the bed, no kneeling in sight.
sensing her uneasiness jisung rushed to fill up the uncomfortable silence . “it’s a promise ring, see it matches mine,” he stumbled over his words as he hurriedly placed his hand out to show the silver band he had that looked almost identical to the one before her.
heeyoung swallowed the lump she hadn’t realized had developed in her throat. she slowly blinked trying to relax her heartbeat.
jisung’s cheeks burned as he said anything to fill up the space. "i’ve known you for like 5 years . in that time i had a crush on you for like 2 of them and dated you for 1 and a half of them and i just…i love you a lot. obviously i can’t propose to you now cause we’re not even 20 yet and just started our lives as idols-“
“y-you want to propose to me?” heeyoung cut him off, taken aback slightly. of course they’d spoken about their future and heeyoung always thought she wanted to marry jisung but it seemed so far and distant that it didn’t feel like something that could actually happen, especially not anytime soon.
jisung’s lips curves down slowly not getting the reaction he had envisioned in his head. he had seen exactly how this entire moment would play out and heeyoung looking terrified was nowhere in the fantasy.
“well yeah one day.” the room fell silent after that. all jisung could hear was his own heartbeat in his head , “i want to like … swap it out for a real one ...you’re my forever heeyoung.”
heeyoung didn't know what exactly she was feeling. part of her wanted to give it back and ask if he kept the receipt, another part wanted to give him the best head of his life. she felt slightly anxious, slightly confused but if there was one thing heeyoung knew for sure was that she felt love, so much love.
it wasn’t the type of love she was expecting, it felt like it was coming from her stomach not her heart. it bubbled deep inside her and it kind of made her sick ... in a good way. it was so unknown yet so strong. maybe that's why it all felt so overwhelming . because not only was it all so new, it was intense and real. heeyoung had never felt so much about one person before.
she loved him, and he loved her.
jisung and his gentle soul loved her. he loved her more than she knew possible. he loved her in a way she'd only ever heard of in his romance movies.
heeyoung never really believed in things like soulmates — she thought it was a lot of responsibility to pin on one person and that the term was too clichéd. the idea that someone could complete you never sat well with heeyoung but sitting there in her bed staring at her boy with a ring in her hand. she knew,
they were soulmates.
the silence around them was defening. with every passing second jisung regretted buying the ring even more.“i’m sorry it’s stupid ,i can take it back i still have the receipt-”
heeyoung cut him off with a soft peck to his lips,“i love it,thank you” she whispered.
jisung felt like a weight had been lifted off his chest, letting out a long sigh not realizing he had been holding his breath the entire time. “oh thank god,” he moved to lay down beside her again, finally able to relax.
“you’re really corny by the way.” she teased. “you’re my forever heeyoung,” she purposely deepened her voice as she dramatically removed the ring from the box.
jisung groaned feeling his face heat up. he covered his face with his hands muffling his laughs as she went on to repeat his entire ramble in the most dramatic way possible. her teasing making both laugh again, all tension from earlier disappearing so fast it was hard to believe it was ever there.
having calmed down a bit, heeyoung admired the band. a knot tied in the middle of it. it was simple yet sweet. she forced herself not to think too much about the outrageous amount of money he must’ve paid for it. “why a knot isn’t that kinda random ?” she asked, forcing her mind to focus elsewhere.
jisung removed his hands from his face slowly, “it’s called a true lover's knot. i read somewhere that it’s a symbol of a really strong connection between 2 people.” he mumbled, his embarrassment only increasing.
“plus it’s not quite tied yet, but like one day i want to properly tie the knot. you know? cause it’s a promise ring.”
“aww, you’re so cute sungie,” she gushed, kissing his flaming hot cheeks. jisung scrunched up his face as he whined, pushing her affections off of him. despite his loud laughs he wanted nothing more than for the bed to swallow him whole as his girlfriend's giggles filled up the dorm room.
with a bright smile plastered on her face heeyoung moved to put the ring on her finger. jisungs hand held her wrist lightly, signaling that he wanted to do it. heeyoung nodded, stretching her hand out slightly to place the ring in his hands.
with his hands still shaking slightly he took the ring between his fingers and with a soft smile he placed it on her finger. he stared at the silver jewelry. he’d never thought a tiny piece of silver would make him so happy but it did. jisung brought her hand up to his lips pressing them to it gently.
“i’m gonna vomit,” heeyoung fake gagged, making jisung laugh loudly, his previously timid actions melting away.
“i love you,” he let out the words between deep inhales of air as he settled down again. his voice sounded too genuine and sincere for heeyoung to tease him anymore.
“i love you too,” she said, her voice sounding just as sincere.
heeyoung absentmindedly fiddled with the new jewelry as she looked down in her lap ,”i’m sorry i don’t have anything for you. i forgot and with our comeback coming up i didn’t have time to get you something and you got me this ring which must’ve been really fucking expensive-“
jisung cut her off with a shake of his head and a soft , “it doesn’t matter you don’t have to get me anything,” heeyoung frowned at that, but jisung insisted. “i don’t need anything i have you,”
heeyoung rolled her eyes at his cheesy statement, her heart thumping at the sound of his laugh at her reaction. “oh my god, shut up.” she groaned making his smile widen.
“i'm getting you something too jisung, it’s only fair.” she mumbled her lips in a pout making her inexplicably adorable to the boy.
jisung let out a laugh through his nose and agreed, mumbling,”if it will make you happy baby,” as he lightly tugged on her arm to signal he wanted her close to him again.
heeyoung shuffled slightly, placing her head on his chest as her arms instinctively wrapped around his waist gently. jisung molded himself around her, sighing softly as he stroked through her bleached hair peacefully. it was knotted and messy but still as soft as always. the silence around them comforting, like a blanket that wrapped them in warmth.
“i really do think we’re soulmates.”
jisung has never felt more certain about anything than that statement. even if the idea of preconceived soulmates was unrealistic, heeyoung was still his soulmate by any other definition. sometimes soulmate even felt too temporary a term for heeyoung. but it was the closest thing to describe how he felt.
“before you go on about how disgustingly idealistic i am , hear me out,” he said quietly ,cutting her off mentally. she hadn’t said anything but he knew what she’d say anyway.
“maybe the idea of the universe making only one person for everyone and we’re two perfect pieces that fit together is a bit dramatic,” heeyoung nodded at that making jisung roll his eyes with a smile.
“ but..” he emphasized, making heeyoung remove her head from his chest to look at his face properly. “i feel like my most genuine self around you. i don’t have to always be loud and funny, i don’t have to be perfect i can just be jisung. boring, normal han jisung, i don’t feel like that around a lot of people. like i can tell you anything and you make me feel like everything’s okay. you understand me even when i don't understand myself. i just feel like that’s what soulmates do.”
he bit his lip as he tried to make sense of all the words in his brain and explain it the best way he could.
“whether you’re perfect or i’m perfect or neither of us are perfect, we’re perfect for each other. we make sense. we’re soulmates” his eyes drifted from the stagnant fan on the roof to heeyoung, finding her eyes already locked on his. his hand found hers, linking them together as he looked back up at the fan. the ring felt cold against his fingers but his heart swelled knowing she had it on.
heeyoung places a soft kiss “you really talk a lot jisung, it’s kinda dorky,” she chuckled. he rolled his eyes but lifted up their interlaced hands to stare at the silver on their fingers.
“but…” she whispered bringing jisung’s eyes back to her. ““if we are soulmates then you’re stuck with me forever,” heeyoung grinned giddily , her free hand brushing the fringe out of his eyes so she could look at his pretty makeup free face properly.
“that's all i want,” his words were barely above a whisper but they echoed around the room louder than any scream. heeyoung could feel her cheeks burning brightly a soft laugh left her lips. she couldn’t help but smile softly at his sweet word. jisung was probably the sweetest boy she’d ever met.
the blanket of comfortable silence wrapped around them again. his thumb rubbing soft circles on her exposed thigh as he pressed a gentle kiss to the bridge of her nose making heeyoung’s face scrunch up with a small giggle.
she shuffled up, her head now at the same level as his. heeyoung’s eyes slowly dropped down to his pink lips, they looked invitingly soft causing her stomach to twist anxiously despite how many many times she’d kissed him before. her eyes shot up to his quickly only to find him looking down at her lips too.
heeyoung made the first move, she often did. all their firsts were always initiated by her. so in heeyoung fashion she leaned into him, connecting their lips the way they had countless times beforehand. jisung’s hand shot up to cup her jaw sweetly as he leaned in to deepen the kiss, all their movements although slow still somehow frantic.
his lips were soft like everything else of his, with exception to the muscles he had been working on recently. he’d always wondered whether anyone noticed that he had been going to the gym more but heeyoung definitely noticed and it was definitely appreciated.
she remembered when he was awkward and lanky and how even then she thought he was the prettiest boy she’d ever seen. he still is , but broader and buffer now. no matter how big he got he’d always be her sungie, her sweet boy sungie.
heeyoung couldn’t help but smile into the kiss as she felt his hands run up her sides, lifting up the material of her shirt.
“that tickles.” heeyoung whispered against his lips making him laugh softly, pulling away with a shake of his head ,his hair falling back into his blown out eyes.
“stop being so cute. i’m trying to make out with you.” he chuckled barely breaking from their kiss."i can’t help it, it’s natural,” heeyoung shrugged.
the best word to describe the way jisung looked at her in that moment is pure, utter adoration and heeyoung could feel it.“i know that’s why you’re my girlfriend duh.”
heeyoung pushed at his chest weakly as she leaned in to kiss him again, making the boy smile widely against her lips. a soft giggle rattling through his chest making heeyoung blush softly.
she swore he kissed her better than anyone else. she may have only kissed a select few but she couldn’t imagine anyone making her feel the way she did kissing jisung.
her hand held tightly onto his bicep moaning quietly into his mouth. his hands found her waist under the shirt, grabbing at her waist tightly as if to ground himself. heeyoung couldn’t describe how it felt to be touched by jisung but somehow even the lightest touches made her skin feel alive. his touch made her skin feel like skin.
jisung rolled himself on top of her pulling away from her lips with a slight pant.
“we should sleep,” he whispered, between breaths, “i have to be back at the dorms by 7:30.”
heeyoung pouted dramatically , “its like 2 am, we have time and i don’t wanna go to sleep yet. you already woke me up anyway ,” she whined, her hands placing themselves under the front of his sweater. her fingers moved across the dips and curves of his toned abdomen. she emphasized this by placing her open mouthed kisses on his neck, making sure not to suck to prevent any marks but still making his brain foggy with each passing second.
she pressed lazy open mouthed kisses against the side of his throat, running her tongue over his pulse and giggling airly when she felt just how fast his heartbeat is. “what’s so funny?” he asked, lips turned up in a small smile as she kissed up his jaw and towards his lips. heeyoung pecked his lips softly, letting the kiss linger for a moment before pulling away a few mere centimeters, nosing touching.
“your heart’s going really fast,” she explained . jisung breathed out a short laugh at that, running his hands up and down her sides.
heeyoung raised her brows with a small smirk on her lips, looking up at him with a joyful hum as she played with the band of his sweatpants. “what do you think you’re doing?” he teased grabbing her wrists playfully, making her giggle softly looking up at him.
“i’m giving you a hand job. i’m gonna make you feel good.” she smiled trying to reach for his sweatpants again causing him to laugh again, keeping her hands away with a sweet smile.
heeyoung pouted dramatically again “please? you look so pretty when you cum,i wanna see it,” jisung groaned, burying his face in the crook of her neck to hide the way his entire face flushed a deep crimson shade. “stop , that’s embarrassing.”
“we’ve been together for a year and a half and you still get embarrassed ‘cause i think you’re hot when you cum?” she couldn’t help but laugh as he groaned into her neck with a nod. heeyoung wrapped her legs around his waist letting his oversized supreme shirt ride up and bunch at her waist as her fingers played with the hairs at the nape of his neck.
heeyoung nosed at his temple, coaxing the shy boy to lift his head , exposing his flustered face. “i think you’re really fucking hot jisung,” she watched as a shy smile took over his feature, his nose scrunching up in embarrassment as she spoke. before he could even try to hide in her shoulder again heeyoung held his face in place leaning in to kiss him again. her heels pushed into his lower back lightly, making his pelvis meet her own.
“o-off,” he mumbled, hands tugging at the hem of his shirt that heeyoung basically lived in. she couldn’t help but laugh at his impatience. jisung watched heeyoung peel it off in seconds and throw it over his shoulder. the bright red lace covering her chest catching his attention immediately.
"fuck you're so hot," jisung muttered without thinking, his brain only focused on all things song heeyoung to even care. her laugh muffled by his lips reconnecting with hers again, this time with much more force.
jisungs hands fiddled with the red garment on her chest, “is this new?” heeyoung nodded, not wanting to disconnect their lips for too long. “it’s pretty. you’re pretty,” he mumbled, not even trying to form full sentences anymore. heeyoung pulled away with a laugh, his cute actions making her heart soft again.
“happy 18 months jisung. i love you."heeyoung cooed while playing with his hair affectionately. she hit him gently on the head in an effort to steal his attention away from her boobs.
“this is the part where you say it back dude,” jisung drew his eyes back up to her own . she noticed how the previously dark feature lightened up as they met hers.
letting out a sigh in an effort to calm himself down jisung tucked his head into the crook of her neck. "happy 18 months heeyoung, i love you.” he whispered, lips pressed softly against her neck as he smiled linking their hands to feel the cold metal of their rings.
“you’re my forever.”
