Bro, Fucking Leona In The Culinary Crucible

I've known that Leona's an ass for a while.

Hell, I've made a post about him being a bad bf (not specifically for him tho).

But I still was not expecting the sheer assness coming from him during the Culinary Crucible.

And he's good at getting away with it too!

Still love him, but damn.

Q: What is the relationship between Leo and Anzu? What do you think about LeoAn?

A: I had to do some research into Leo to answer this since I don’t really pay attention to him so let’s see if I can ramble about him and Anzu...

I think that Anzu is definitely special to Leo, like she is to everyone else at Yumenosaki buuuuut that’s not the point here.

First of all, when Leo disappeared, Arashi says that even the police had given up looking for him. After Tsukasa asked Anzu for help, she managed to find him. It could be that she randomly stumbled into him, but you know, Leo’s sweet line is “meeting you was surely fate, please stay by my side forever”, so he probably feels her finding him was not chance.

After meeting Anzu just once, he remembers who she is and calls her by name. Leo, who everyone says does not commit anything he’s not interested in to memory, remembers Anzu. This comes even after he couldn’t remember Tsukasa by name.

At the same time, Anzu manages to convince Leo to teach her how to write music, which I cannot even fathom given his personality. And he does so, instead of taking care of Knights which was his lifeblood. Even Tsukasa was bothered by him spending time teaching Anzu instead of doing his obligations as leader of Knights. If I’m not mistaken, in an earlier version of the Gekka Roman event story, Leo also says that he will quit Knights and dedicate himself to teaching Anzu, but obviously since that conflicts with him staying in Knights, it was removed. But clearly here, it shows that he’s quite dedicated to Anzu.

Leo also trusts Anzu a fair amount, since he says that one of his mottos is “if in doubt, ask Anzu”, which he has also written down in his notepad. Just like how he recognises Tsumugi as “the one who gives him stuff”, Anzu is “the one with all the answers” to him.

If you consider Anzu=Angie (Engirls), there might be even more comparisons to be drawn too. They’ve both been betrayed by people they care about and ostracised, and yet they both think it is their fault it happened. As a result they both broke down and ran away, Anzu to Yumenosaki and Leo’s disappearance.

I haven’t gone through all the stories yet and definitely not even with !!’s stories so there might be some stuff I missed but this is what I could come up with in regards to Leo and Anzu in a short time lol.

As for what I think about LeoAn, it could work? It seems like Anzu knows how to deal with him and more importantly, how to find him (like when he was in Italy in his !! Idol story) so there must be something to that end. He certainly has the power to fight with everyone else in Yumenosaki for Anzu (but the question is....will he?). Like Chiaki says, if Anzu teams up with any unit (in this case idk, marries Leo), they’ll be unstoppable lol.

Ooh boy this....is longer than I expected it to be.

It happened in an instant. Afterwards, Leona couldn't say quite what did go wrong, except for the valkyra and Varotin were suddenly unable to move, and the runecaster that was defeated... wasn't. Leona couldn't even say who was screaming. Mira and Leona watched as both Ashildir and Varotin were dragged down to Helheim, Mira running forward to attempt to stop it. Leona was running towards the valkyra that guarded the way to the surface. Arms grabbed her, and she struggled against Finna. "Little One, Odyn has given orders!" "Both of them are trapped! Mama and I can save them, but we have to go in there, and I won't let her go alone," Leona turned herself to look up at the shieldmaiden, "I don't care if I get corrupted, what good is keeping me safe if the ones I love... it's cowardly hiding up here!" "The champion has passed his trials, though he is lost. Send her down," both Finna and Leona looked to the booming voice, "After all, he has won his prize." "As you wish Father Odyn," Finna frowned as she put the girl down, then looked to her, "Little Warrior, Helheim is not so easily..." "Don't doubt Mama, she can find a way into anything, and Papa taught me everything he knows, I'll get him and Ashildir out, I promise!" she ran towards Aerylia, "I'll come back to visit, but Papa promised me camping!" "Little Warrior, if you ever have a brother or sons, be sure to teach them everything you know!" Finna laughed, "You do not fight like a shieldmaiden, you are a whirlwind in battle. And I am glad to have met you. Now go, prove your own worth to the Valajar!" Leona nodded and jumped down to Stormheim.
