Been pondering this ask since getting it, and decided that I will infact branch out a bit more in terms of swaps for Umbraswap AU so it's no longer solely a Spamtenna AU. Though will be keeping the essence of the swap approach in a way with my choices in who swaps (check that linked post if you're curious on such cause I did mention it there)
Speaking of, the first swap I'd like to introduce to flesh out Umbraswap is that of Noelle and Ralsei. The ONLY swap (currently) that involves a lightner, and is the only major change to the Fun Gang.
Ralsei - The Dreemurrs youngest kid and Kris' childhood friend (yeah, Kris is a Holiday instead of Dreemurr in the AU). Parents had the smart idea to just make an anagram of their eldest child's name and use that for the youngest... He's quite the teacher's pet, and is doing the best at school. Rather kind but timid, he somehow tolerates Berdley's presence not like he has much of a choice in the matter. He sometimes reflects on a time when Kris was more expressive, when they both had the other's shoulder to cry on and also saw one another as siblings from another family. All 5 kids from the Dreemurrs and Holidays got on like a chaotic house on fire. Nowadays, a part of Ralsei wishes that they could rekindle that old spark of warmth from before. A shame that things started to crumble soon after ██████ left. Or did she go missing? Everything that day was supposedly a blur.
In the dark world, Ralsei is a spellcaster who specializes in fire based spells. His scarf acts moreso like a magic enhancer, but certian spells can only be casted with it (it's translated as a necklace in the light world, somehow). The Snowgrave part of the weird route is known as the Blazetomb route; where you start by igniting every pixel of the cyber darkners, leaving broken pieces of code in their stead. By the end of it, after locating a peculiar held item, Ralsei eventually casts the Blazetomb spell: one that leaves almost no trace of its victim behind. Anything metallic is usually what remains. For whatever reason, Blazetomb cannot wipe such material out of existence. The injury Berdley sustains here mainfests as an insane fever in the light world; one that is leaving the afflicted in a teetering state of delirium.
The Thorn Ring in Umbraswap is the Bramble Scarf, and it is known to tighten around the neck of the wearer, putting one under the risk of being decapitated if orders are not followed. It has you in a chokehold, but atleast it helps you become stronger. Fortunately it's held at a spot very hard to reach and known by almost no one. They say a whisper in the sea of shadows knows where the Bramble Scarf is located, but it won't relinquish this information very easily.
Leonel - The shadow princess, alone in deepest dark. A cold air is felt whenever she is nearby, yet this cannot be helped. No one had really seen Leonel's face until Susie pulled the cloak off her head during the events of chapter 1, and it's been like that ever since. Leo is the knower of the prophecy out of the Fun Gang, and is also the healer/support. Her appearance reminds Kris of the siblings in their adopted family; especially that of ██████. 🕈︎☟︎✌︎❄︎ ✌︎ 💧︎☟︎✌︎💣︎☜︎ ❄︎☟︎⚐︎🕆︎☝︎☟︎📬︎ ☟︎⚐︎🕈︎ ❄︎☟︎☜︎ ☝︎✋︎☼︎☹︎ 🕈︎☟︎⚐︎ 👌︎☹︎✋︎☠︎👎︎☹︎✡︎ ☞︎⚐︎☹︎☹︎⚐︎🕈︎☜︎👎︎ ❄︎☟︎☜︎ ☠︎⚐︎☼︎❄︎☟︎☜︎☼︎☠︎ 💧︎❄︎✌︎☼︎📪︎ ☟︎✌︎💧︎ ☝︎⚐︎☠︎☜︎ ✌︎💧︎❄︎☼︎✌︎✡︎📬︎ ✡︎⚐︎🕆︎ 👍︎✌︎☠︎☠︎⚐︎❄︎ 👌︎☹︎✌︎💣︎☜︎ ✌︎ 😐︎✋︎👎︎ ☞︎⚐︎☼︎ 💧︎🕆︎👍︎☟︎ 👍︎🕆︎☼︎✋︎⚐︎💧︎✋︎❄︎✡︎ ✌︎❄︎ ✌︎☠︎ ✌︎☝︎☜︎📬︎ ❄︎☟︎⚐︎🕆︎☝︎☟︎📪︎ 💣︎✌︎✡︎👌︎☜︎ ❄︎☟︎☜︎ ☞︎✌︎💣︎✋︎☹︎✡︎ 💧︎☟︎⚐︎🕆︎☹︎👎︎🕯︎✞︎☜︎ 🕈︎✌︎❄︎👍︎☟︎☜︎👎︎ ☟︎☜︎☼︎ 💣︎⚐︎☼︎☜︎ 👍︎☹︎⚐︎💧︎☜︎☹︎✡︎
Leonel is shy at first, but does warm up and become more loose and boisterous as time goes on. But of course, there are times where a twinge of undescribed heartache can be sensed in Leonel's body language.
She uses rings as a "weapon" instead of a scarf. Leonel casts icicle themed spells, with the ring equipped being able to affect the shape and strength of these. All her defenses and attacks involve her readying up a chunk of ice for its respective purpose. These icicles can also be honed to cast healing spells, taking on a more snowflake-like look to them. Also, I imagine she'd have more of a praying stance with her sprite in battle instead of how Ralsei holds em behind his back.
