How do you think the Overblot Gang would react to finding out/their s/o confessing that they like to be tickled? 🫣

riddle - he's more embarrassed than you, to be honest. face turns bright red and he looks away all flustered because how is he supposed to respond? he doesn't dislike tickling himself - trey and che'nya like to get him from time to time, and he's found it a particularly useful method of reprimand for those reckless first years - but it's too much. there's too much loudness, laughter. he's too little in control of himself. it takes him a bit to warm up to the idea of tickling you, but if you let him work up to it in increments (as as lighthearted punishment, generally), he'll eventually let himself go and be more playful with it.

leona - acts like he doesn't care, barely cracking one eye open and raising a lazy eyebrow. "so? 'm I supposed to do something?" he's lazy but he loves you, really, so the next time you're a little too antsy during the naptime he's designated for both of you, restless in his arms, he'll suddenly tighten his grip and really give you something to squirm about. he teases you in that bored, vaguely annoyed way of his, complaining about how noisy your helpless squeals are and how he could be napping right now if you weren't moving so much while his arm keeps you trapped against him and his other hand goes to town.

azul - first response is to file that information away in a little mental space named EXPLOITABLE TRAITS. however, because he loves you, he makes an honest effort to recategorize it. he doesn't entirely succeed, but it's the most he's capable of, so it's sweet anyway. he gets a little antsy over it himself, remembering how the tweels used to (and still do, tbh) wreck his ass all the time. it starts with light pokes when you're not moving fast enough - the man walks at a ridiculous pace to maximize efficiency, as always, and you walk too slowly for him to be able to talk to you properly. before you know it, azul's clingy ass is squeezing your sides from behind while he buries his face in your neck.

jamil - at first, he really doesn't care, other than to have a bit of a 'yikes' reaction. he hates giving up control in any sense, so it doesn't make sense to him that this is something you could possibly enjoy. he has to test it out for himself, obviously, and enjoys it more than he thought he would. he uses his signature spell on you (with consent of course) to make you stay still while he tickles you, vaguely incredulous at how you seem to like it when he makes you giggle and thrash, how you like being made to just sit back and enjoy it when your body is desperately trying to escape. he finds it funny, in a way.

vil - he thinks it's cute, but probably doesn't indulge you very often 💔 tickling is the kind of thing that would make you move around out of instinct, and he can't risk you messing up his or your makeup. he'll give you quick, light tickles if you're too slow to react when he gives you instructions. every now and then, though, dating a famous model and actor will take its toll on you, who feels rather ordinary next to him even though he thinks you're wonderful. vil has never been very good with emotional vulnerability or long talks about his feelings - it's easier to make you laugh another way.

idia - what do you mean. what do you mean. that's only a thing on the internet, he's never meet someone who really likes it IRL, especially not someone like you...! right...? WRONG and he has to keep pinching himself to make sure he's not dreaming. he gets ridiculously flustered every time he thinks about it, picturing your pretty laugh or making you squirm with those dexterous fingers of his. gamer hands have to be useful for something, right? once he gets into it, though, he has an insane power trip every time he tickles you. look at you, all giggly! over little old him?? he wishes he could save file all of these memories - seeing as he can't, he'll just have to do it again. and again. and again-

malleus - it honestly takes him a second to remember what tickling is, really. lilia had tickled him once or twice when he was younger, but, well, they weren't allowed to spend a lot of time together. he's seen lilia tickle silver a few times, but never associated the act with the name. he's rather intrigued by this weakness of yours...how easily you give it up to him. is it enjoyable for you? malleus is an indulgent lover, he will play along fufufufu. he finds that he quite enjoys the sounds of your bright laughter, how you try to keep yourself from pushing him away when he finds a particularly bad spot. not that you could, anyways - he would just deal with that magically. he now has a fun new way to play with his human :>

a/n: oh my gosh. guys i truly locked in for this one. anyway. this is my birthday fic and who would i write if not for azujami. MY LOVES. this fic is so long for a fic thats meant to be about tickling. but i think its still pretty good. at least i had a great time writing it. ANYWAYS!!!! i love these two losers so much, i think i wrote them well enough but sorry if they are ooc 😭😭 ENJOY <33333

summary: three times jamil accidentally tickled azul and one time he did it on purpose.

warnings: tickling ofc. lots of kissing. feelings. LOTS of feelings tbh.. angst, but fluff ofc. VERY minor spoilers to books 3 and 4

one.

Azul was aware of how much of a loser he looked like right now. Feeling giddy, unable to keep the smile that stretched across his face when Jamil locked fingers with him, but he couldn’t help it!

Maybe it was a bit silly of him to be so happy over mere handholding, but affection had always been something long out of his grasp ever since he was young. These types of things had always meant much more to Azul than most people would think.

“Gross, stop smiling like that,” Jamil rolls his eyes, but his smile on his face gives him away. Azul smiles more in response.

“Oh, but I’m just so happy, you know?” Azul says, not even bothering to hide it. It was the first time that they had ever held hands. Their relationship was still fresh, less than a month long, but both were so awkward that it seemed even getting to this point was hard for each of them. It’s weird getting to a point of being comfortable with touch when you spent months pining over each other where Azul was pretending it was for ulterior motives and Jamil was pretending he hated him. Clearly, neither were true, but because of that physical touch was still something a bit foreign between them. And yet, Azul had daydreamed about it more times than he could count, so excuse him for being a little giddy about it.

“You almost sound like you’ve been wanting to hold my hand for a while,” Jamil adds, chuckling. Azul looks away. Did Jamil also have a secret mind reading ability that he hadn’t known about?

“That’s nonsense. It’s just handholding.”

“And yet, you’re here all smiley and happy about it.”

Azul said nothing and he hears a breathy laugh from the other, and he finds his smile return to his face.

That is, until Jamil’s fingers start tracing along the lines of Azul’s palm. Azul gasps, but hides it with a cough, and it seems as though Jamil is none the wiser. This sensation though…

He doesn’t want to let go of Jamil’s hand quite yet, but to admit to Azul that the feeling of him grazing his finger across his palm was ticklish just may be worse.

Azul swallowed, grateful that he had already been smiling. Especially now because he doesn’t think he could have kept it down if he tried. It was ticklish, yes, but fortunately, he didn’t feel the urge to laugh, so he decided to just endure and hope Jamil didn’t notice a thing.

two.

Azul and Jamil were kissing. Now, they had kissed before but none of it had ever been more than a peck on the lips, never lasting longer than a second.

Despite it being so short, Azul never cherished them any less. But this? This was different. They had never gotten much free time to be themselves and when they were, there was often a nosy Jade or Floyd, or even sometimes Kalim around the corner. But now, in the darkest of the night in Azul’s room, it was just the two of them alone, basking in the presence of one another. They had talked, joked, the like, but then they moved closer when there were no more words to be said. They leaned in when the silence stretched on. Azul had expected to pull away as soon as it happened, but Jamil had held his face, smashing their lips together, almost desperate in his movements.

This was so much better than Azul could have ever imagined, he thinks, as he gasps when Jamil bites his lip.

It stings, but just barely, and feels much better than any of the dreams he had about it. Jamil licks over where he had just bit Azul and Azul uses that as an opportunity to deepen the kiss.

He can feel Jamil smirk against his lips and he feels his own lips quirk up against his will. Jamil starts roaming his body, hands exploring every nook and crevice of his neck, his back, his waist.

Azul’s lips quirk up more, much more against his will, at the ticklish sensation, but the feeling is bearable, so he doesn’t stop Jamil. Instead, his hands start traveling across Jamil’s body as well, just feeling. He doesn’t know if he could ever get enough of this, as Jamil continues to kiss him and Azul returns the kiss just as passionately.

He thinks he feels Jamil twitch at certain spots when Azul touches them, but he doesn’t do anything because he knows he is too. He definitely notes it down for later, though.

When Azul, embarrassingly enough, has half of his tongue in Jamil’s mouth, he lets out a loud shriek. Jamil’s hands had found their way to his hips and he had not been ready for it at all. Azul’s hands reflexively find their way to Jamil's, moving them away. Jamil pulls back.

“What happened?”

“...Nothing.” Azul had been thinking about nothing during the last few minutes of them kissing and he could not gather a response, no matter how much he had wished for it.

Jamil thinks, then seems to come to some sort of realization. Azul resists the urge to squirm underneath Jamil’s gaze. With a glint in his eyes, he asks, ‘Are you ticklish?”

“What? No– of course not,” Azul exclaims, offended that Jamil was absolutely correct. Jamil looks at him disbelievingly.

“Right, I never pegged you as the type, but I guess it makes sense,” Jamil says, and Azul is frantically looking for excuses in his head. This absolutely cannot happen. Jamil would never let him live it down.

“It doesn’t make sense, because it’s not true.” Azul was good at making a poker face. He was sure that anyone else would have been convinced by now, but apparently, Jamil had known him well enough to catch him on his lies, because his expression has not changed since he first made the realization.

“Right… so you just reacted over nothing for no reason? It’s okay to be ticklish, you know.” Jamil chuckles, but Azul knows it’s a trap. He was not going to fall for it.

“There was a reason, I told you!”

“Because it tickled?”

“No–”

three.

The third time Jamil accidentally tickled Azul was when they were dancing. Azul had known that Jamil loved dancing, so he made the twins help him plan a date at the Mostro Lounge where the two could share a nice meal then dance to music afterwards.

The dinner was nice. It was curry, a food he knew to be Jamil’s favorite. He had spent hours the night before making sure the recipe was perfect before he and the twins made it. There was nothing wrong with it and he couldn’t help the swell of pride when Jamil ate the food with a poorly concealed look of delight.

They talked about everything and anything that came to mind. Azul always loved a chance to learn more about his partner and vice versa. Though Jamil was less open to admitting it than Azul was, although it was obvious by the way Jamil always seemed to remember the things Azul had told him, even if it was just in passing.

Later, Jamil had teased him over dinner about going through such lengths for someone like him, and Azul had adamantly refused and declared that Jamil deserved that and much more.

Jamil had responded by standing and holding his hand out for Azul to take. Azul patted his mouth with a napkin before taking Jamil’s hand. The two of them walked towards the middle of the room, which was spacious enough to be a dancefloor, even if it weren’t the intended purpose.

The Mostro Lounge had a piano, but it also had a record player that could play all sorts of music. Azul enjoyed classical jazz so that was most often played in the Lounge. The music, this time, was a more magical, upbeat sound, with violins and pianos and such. It was a beautiful song, really, one that Azul had liked ever since he first heard of it.

Jamil liked all sorts of dance, and even now, he seems ecstatic to be on the dance floor, guiding Azul. Naturally, Jamil took the lead, which Azul found himself not minding it all that much. Normally, in other cases, he would have fought Jamil to be the one in charge, but well.. Dancing was a separate matter. He had the basics of dance down, not keen on humiliating himself if he ever found himself in a situation where he had to dance in public, but he was still getting used to being on land. It was normal for him to be a bit flimsy on his feet at times.

Jamil and Azul’s hands are intertwined, as Azul puts his left hand over Jamil’s shoulder. In turn, Jamil’s hand was on his waist. Although Azul knew he definitely wasn’t going to win any awards for his dancing skills anytime soon, Jamil was good enough for the two of them, swinging the two of them around with practiced grace.

When Azul steps on Jamil’s foot, Jamil lets out a laugh and Azul scoffs indignantly.

“It seems I’m always finding more things that crack your perfect persona,” Jamil says, and Azul rolls his eyes.

“I never claimed to be perfect,” Azul mutters, trying not to look down at the ground too much.

“You once tried to manipulate dice throws so that you could guarantee games of luck.”

“And that’s just dedication, Jamil. Nothing about being perfect.” Jamil chuckles at that again and Azul finds his heart momentarily stopped.

“I think it’s admirable,” Jamil admits, and Azul looks him in the eyes, a bit surprised at the sudden sincerity.

“Is that so?” He swallows, trying to feign nonchalance, but Jamil doesn’t pay any heed to that anyway.

“You’re very hardworking. It’s admirable.” Jamil looks down, looking bashful, and Azul smiles.

“I could say the same to you,” Azul replies. The conversation ends there, but the dance becomes more passionate as they dance around to the beat of the song. Seven, Azul wonders what they looked like right now, if they looked as beautiful as the music they danced to.

That is, until Jamil tries to dip Azul down. Azul feels a bit embarrassed, but decides to go with it just for Jamil, only for Jamil and that stupid, irresistible smirk on his face. However, it isn’t his embarrassment that stops him, but a hand that grips firmly at his sides and–

“Ack!” It tickled.

He’s on the floor, after he had basically jumped out of Jamil’s grasp, losing his footing. Jamil looks startled and Azul hurries to stand.

“I.. slipped,” Azul answers Jamil’s unspoken question.

“Slipped? It looked like something scared you,” Jamil is really too perceptive.

“I just wasn’t prepared so I was afraid you were going to drop me..”

Jamil stares at him for a second longer and Azul forces himself to maintain eye contact.

Then, Jamil’s expression turns to a smile, teasing. Before he can open his mouth, Azul cuts him off.

“Oh, don’t you start–”

“Did it tickle–”

Azul doesn’t listen, as he grabs the other’s arms and spins him into a circle to force him to start dancing. After a few seconds, it works as they fall into a familiar groove. Azul feels himself begin to relax.

Even if now he has to deal with a mischievous Jamil poking him every so often, then laughing in his face when he would flinch or squeak.

and one time it was on purpose.

At first, Jamil and Azul didn’t spend the night in each other’s rooms often, because they both had things to do early in the morning and it was just more convenient to stay in their own respective rooms. Sometimes, it was a bit bittersweet, though. There were times where Azul craved nothing but Jamil’s presence, missing him badly, even if they had seen each other less than a day ago. It did make the times they did sleep over in the other’s rooms much sweeter, though.

Overtime, however, they had been making much more time for one another, deciding that whatever they had to do in the mornings could wait a few extra minutes. The reason for that was nightmares. Having both experienced overblots, it wasn’t uncommon to experience nightmares of that horrid experience.

It was nice having someone who related though. He loved the twins to death, not that he would ever tell them that, as they had helped him through his nightmares whenever he woke up screaming or crying at night and the twins would force themselves into his room. They’d have a sleepover and they’d tease Azul over being a crybaby, but they never meant any of it. Part of Azul wonders if he would be as okay as he is without them.

Still, they didn’t understand what going through the overblot was like. Being overwhelmed by pain, fear, so many negative emotions all at once, getting enveloped in pitch black darkness, Azul watched himself relive that moment where he lost everything, the moment he couldn’t handle it anymore and just.. Broke down, unable to control his emotions, watching as he hurt those he loved and unable to do anything about it. It was a terrifying experience and he never wanted to go through it again. Even when the twins helped him, the nightmares still occurred and he still felt alone.

But Jamil understood. Of course he did. What Jamil had gone through was awful and Azul had been there to witness it. A part of him wonders sometimes how Jamil doesn’t hate him, for ruining his plans, but he doesn’t think he’ll ever tell Jamil that.

The fact is, Jamil understood him and Azul understood him. The overblots brought terrible nightmares to the both of them and they both just.. Get it.

It was only a meaning of time before they learned to rely on one another during these nightmares and staying with each other when it happened helped. Whenever one of them had a nightmare and didn’t want to be alone, they always knew that the other would be there for them.

Neither were ever surprised when they opened the door at ungodly hours of the night to the other in their pajamas and looking for comfort.

Today was one of those nights. It had been months since Azul had overblotted and his nightmares weren’t as frequent or intense, but he had already been in a bad mood that day, stressed about matters around the Mostro Lounge, his calorie intake, his work as a housewarden, the list goes on. He had noticed early on that when he was in a bad mood, his dreams were likely to be much worse.

So he wasn’t all that shocked when he woke up at 2am, tears streaming down his face and sweating bullets. He sat for a couple moments, allowing his breathing to return to normal but whenever he shut his eyes, he saw thick, black goo, and he knew he couldn’t sleep like this.

His legs walked him to Jamil’s dorm before he could even take a moment to hesitate. He knocked the door, softly. He wasn’t even completely sure it would wake Jamil up. Still, he waited, unmoving.

The door opened to him barely a minute later. Jamil took one look at him and moved out of the way, opening the door further to let him in. Azul did, flopping down on Jamil’s bed like he had many times before. The room is dark, dimly lit by a lamp on Jamil’s nightstand.

“I can guess what this is about,” Jamil mutters, but he’s half asleep and Azul starts to feel guilty for waking him up. Jamil flops down on the bed next to him, wrapping his arms around the other like it’s second nature. Which, ever since they began this whole routine, it was. Azul leans into his touch, his guilt slowly vanishing, seeing the Jamil wasn’t particularly bothered by his presence.

“Ah, Jamil, you know me so well,” Azul jokes, because he’s unsure how he could respond.

“Unfortunately..” Jamil says, but before Azul could say anything, Jamil speaks again. “Tell me what your dream was about.”

“How did you know it was a dream?” Azul knows why, but he asks anyway. Jamil gives him this sort of disbelieving look.

“What else would you come here for…” Jamil looks at the digital clock he has on his nightstand. “At 3:32 in the morning?” Azul bites his lip.

“That’s true.”

“So?”

“So.”

Jamil doesn’t look amused, as he tries to blink the sleepiness from his eyes. Azul curls inward on himself.

No one speaks. Jamil waits. Azul does, too. For what exactly? He’s not quite sure.

Jamil gives him another look and Azul was too in love with the other boy that he knew that anything Jamil wanted from him, he would give it to him. This was no exception, clearly, since all it took was a single look for him to fold.

He wants to say that he doesn’t want to tell Jamil anything, but that isn’t exactly true. He trusts Jamil more than anything, but sometimes he feels as though being vulnerable will make Jamil not love him anymore. He fears that Jamil no longer looking his way will break him. That he’ll spiral again. That he’ll overblot.

He never wants to go through that again. He doesn’t want to hurt those dear to him. He doesn’t want to hurt Jamil.

And so, Azul tells exactly that. That his dream had been about his overblot, and this time, Jamil had been in the very center of it. He averts his eyes, shame deep in his guts, as Jamil thinks. It’s about a minute or two before Jamil speaks.

“Overblots suck.”

Azul blinks.

“..Yeah,” He agrees, because it’s so simple. Overblots suck, they really do. It’s true.

“But I’d never blame you for having one. For breaking down like that. For… being vulnerable. I’d never stop loving you because you have feelings.”

Azul’s heart beats louder in his chest than he thinks it ever has before. He’s sure his face is completely flushed but he doesn’t bother to hide it in the darkness of the room. He struggles to find the words to say, but to describe how he’s feeling, he would say it’s relief. Overwhelming relief. Has Jamil ever been so genuine? Was he still half-asleep?

“That’s…” Azul trails off, meeting Jamil’s eyes. Jamil smiles at him, warmly. It’s unlike the amused smirks he often sends his way, but something more special. Something reserved for him. He wants to cry. He almost does.

Jamil plants a kiss on Azul’s head and Azul can’t help the smile from forming on his face. Jamil plants a few more kisses on his face and he can’t resist the urge to giggle.

“Jahahamil, stohop! It–”

“Tickles?” Jamil finishes, and now his smile looks a bit more devilish. “Don’t think I haven’t noticed. You try to hide it, but it’s pretty obvious.”

“Urgh.. Whatever do you mean…” Azul feigns ignorance, but it doesn’t last long because Jamil’s hands find their way to Azul’s sides and he squeezes. “Agh…!”

“Don’t act like you don’t know. You’re ticklish.”

“Shut it…” He says, because Azul knows there's no denying it. Jamil’s smirk widens and Azul starts wondering if it was a good idea to come here tonight. (Remembering Jamil’s words earlier tells him that it very much was.)

“You don’t have to say anything,” Jamil chuckles, his voice low. “I’ll just tickle you instead.”

Azul wants to fight against it, but he doesn’t know if he has the strength. Or if he really minds all that much right now.

Jamil’s hands squeeze at his sides again, and he flinches, and Jamil laughs at him. Actually laughs.

“Wahahait!” Azul cries, shaking his head.

“I’ve been waiting to do this for a while, you know. I’m tired of waiting,” Jamil says, as he graces Azul with another squeeze to his sides. “But waiting has let me find out a lot. Like…” Jamil squeezes a spot on Azul’s waist, where it meets his hips, and he bucks forward, shrieking all the while. “That you’re sensitive here, and,” He finds a spot on Azul’s stomach and he is given nearly the same reaction. “Here too.”

Ugh, so Jamil really was observing him all this time! He should’ve known that Jamil wouldn’t just… let it go! He knew. He had planned this.

Azul wants to be angry, but he isn’t. Instead, he laughs and laughs as Jamil finds different spots on him.

“Wow, this is impressive,” Jamil says. “Is there anywhere you’re not ticklish?”

“T-there ahahare!” Azul exclaims, because it’s true. It’s just… not anywhere Jamil is targeting. When Jamil lingers on that evil spot on his stomach, Azul feels like he could die. It’s ticklish, much more ticklish than he remembered, and Jamil, of all people, knew it now.

“Really? Because I’m not finding any,” Jamil points out. Azul wants to insist that there are, but he’s laughing too much as his worst spots are attacked.

“Jahamil! Plehehease!” He feels tears pricking at his eyes and his stomach is starting to ache from the laughter. He doesn’t even want to know how loud he’s being. He’s honestly shocked no one has knocked on the door asking them to keep the noise down. But they haven’t, so Jamil keeps going.

“Begging? Is the Azul Ashengrotto begging? Oh, how the mighty have fallen.” It’s a mean tease, but effective on him nonetheless. He feels his face turn a deep shade of blue and he shakes his head.

“Sh-shush! Stohop!” Azul cries once more, and this time, the hands that had been torturing his stomach and well, entire torso area, stop. That doesn’t mean the ticklish sensations leave just yet, though. Jamil’s approach is just much more gentle this time.

His lips meet Azul’s neck and he freezes for a moment, but then he relaxes, his laughter dies down. It tickles when Jamil kisses him, but his laughter dies down to only giggles. His laughter spikes when Jamil nibbles him on his neck and he scrunches it, but the sensations are still there. Jamil cups his face with one hand as his other hand finds Azul’s. He interlocks their fingers and he continues peppering kisses along Azul’s neck.

“Jahahamil..”

“Hm?” His voice vibrates against Azul’s neck and Azul shivers. Azul doesn’t respond. He didn’t really have anything to say. He just wanted to hear Jamil’s name on his lips.

Jamil doesn’t seem to mind the lack of response, as he lifts his head, pressing his lips to Azul’s, kissing him so affectionately, Azul could feel his brain melting with every second that passed. but he does start grazing at Azul’s palm with his thumb.

“Hmph..!” Azul gasps again.

“I know you’re ticklish here too.” Jamil says, and Azul half-heartedly glares at him. Instead of denying it, he says nothing.

He pushes his lips against Jamil’s, who had broken their kiss to make his comment, to distract him. It works. The grazing of his palm continues, but it’s much slower paced than before. Seconds later, it’s gone, as Jamil brings his other hand to Azul’s face.

They don’t know how long they spend kissing, but the next moment, they’re waking up to the sounds of birds chirping happily and the sun peeking through their eyelids, so they must have fallen asleep at some point. Jamil wakes up first, sitting up, which stirs Azul, as he groggily stares at Jamil. Jamil rubs his eyes, then turns to him.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning, Jamil.” They stare for a second before they both crack a smile. Azul looks at the clock, reading the time. “We should get up. You have to make Kalim breakfast and I have work to do at the Lounge before classes start.”

“Ugh, don’t remind me…”

“Oh, what’s this? Jamil being a slacker?”

“Oh, hush, or I’ll utilize that interesting discovery I learned about you last night.” Azul narrows his eyes, but he doesn’t mean it truly.

“Rude.”

Jamil smirks at him, and Azul sticks his tongue out childishly. The vice housewarden stands, stretching widely as he changes into his school uniform. Azul stays in bed for a few minutes longer. He feels much more refreshed than usual, despite having such a hard time falling asleep. It seemed the kissing and the.. tickling had taken more out of him than he thought it did. He thinks about last night’s events, his nightmare, Jamil's response, how he had felt about it, and the events following.

The Azul from months ago could have never pictured something like this happening, but he’s glad it did. Jamil really was something, like he always knew he was, even if it wasn’t quite the way he intended. Azul fondly lets out a laugh to himself. He stands as well, also changing into the pair of clothes he had brought with him the night before. He always made sure he had it. Jamil looks at the mirror, applying eyeliner, and Azul takes notice of a piece of lint on the back of his uniform. He goes to reach for it, when Jamil jumps hard and squeals. Azul pauses, and Jamil slowly turns, looking mortified at the look on Azul’s face.

“Don’t you dare–” Jamil doesn’t get to finish his sentence when Azul pounces on him, ready for his chance at revenge. He almost regrets it later when they are both scrambling to get finished with their tasks and still arrive to class on time, but then he remembers Jamil’s laugh, and he finds that he wouldn’t mind being late again if it meant he got to hear it once more.

The heat in Scarabia pressed down on the students like a physical weight. Even inside the sprawling lounge, the midday sun poured through the open arches, turning the entire room into a shimmering, chaotic furnace.

It was a nightmare of hustle and bustle. Dozens of students scrambling in every direction, balancing massive silver platters stacked with roasted meats, towers of spiced flatbreads, and heavy brass pitchers of chilled sherbet.

"Housewarden Kalim! Where do I put this!?"

"Over by the cushions! No, wait, the silk cushions, not the velvet ones!" Kalim’s voice ringed out over the din, bright and completely unfazed by the heat. He was vibrating with energy, turning back and forth as he managed the chaos upfront. "And make sure the hibiscus tea is placed near the entrance! Oh, and Jamil, you won’t believe what Trein said during History today. He actually thought I was asleep, but I was just looking for my quill under the desk. And then—"

Jamil wasn’t listening.

He was standing entirely rigid, his eyes locked onto a single, meaningless knot in the wooden floorboards. His brows were furrowed so deeply it was a wonder his face hadn’t frozen that way. His arms were crossed tightly over his chest but not in his usual posture of calm disapproval no, he was using his hands to press his elbows viciously hard against his ribs. Because beneath his vest, his ribs were thrumming with a miserable and unforgiving buzz.

It had started yesterday for absolutely no good reason. Phantom, maddening tingle that made him want to claw his own skin off. And today it intensified ten times. He couldn't focus on the upcoming party, couldn't focus on Kalim’s mindless chatter, and he absolutely, desperately should be focusing. If a single detail went wrong, it was his head on the chopping block. But every time he took a breath, the buzzing intensified, threatening to force a humiliating, breathless gasp out of his throat.

"Uh... Vice Housewarden Jamil?"

Jamil blinked and looked around himself, a faint trace of genuine surprise flickering across his usually unreadable face. The massive banquet tables were already fully set and gleaming. When he had walked into the room, they had been completely empty. How long had he been standing there like a statue? Minutes?

Jamil snapped out of it, his gaze tearing away from the floorboards to blink at a terrified sophomore holding a tray of honeyed figs.

"Where do I put this?"

"Put it...over there. Next to the dates," Jamil commanded waving his hand in some direction, his voice miraculously smooth despite the storm raging under his sides. He smoothly pivoted, clapping a hand onto Kalim’s shoulder with just enough force to ground himself. "Kalim. Can I trust you to oversee the rest of the preparations yourself for a moment?"

"Huh? Me?" Kalim blinked, his large eyes widening with a mix of pride and sudden panic. "I mean, yeah! Of course I can. You can count on me."

"I just have to meet somebody. I'll be right back," Jamil said, his tone dropping into that dark, warning register he used whenever Kalim was about to do something profoundly idiotic. "Do not make anything stupid while I am gone."

With a curt nod, he excused himself, turning on his heel and pacing out of the lounge.

The moment he hit the halls, his composure began to fray. The corridors were blissfully, utterly empty. Every single resident had been dragged into Kalim’s party planning hurricane. The only sound was the frantic, heavy rustle of Jamil’s own sandals against the plush red carpets.

His hands dropped from his chest and wrapped tightly around his forearms as he rubbed at them, trying to soothe the excruciating, annoying sensation thrumming right beneath his flesh. It was a humiliating, ridiculous desire to be tickled. To be completely wrec—

He reached his room, threw himself inside, and slammed the heavy wooden door shut.

BANG!!

Jamil panted, trembling from the sheer strength he had put into that slam. This was getting so much worse. This was getting so incredibly stupid. It was ridiculous! He, He managed a whole dorm, an incompetent housewarden, and an entire network of spies and schedules!

He slowly slid down the door, burying his face in his hands with a harsh, muffled groan. What is wrong with me?

He couldn't take it anymore. He had to do something about it, or he was going to end up rolling around on the floor like a dying insect. But who?

Could he provoke Kalim? No. For all of Kalim’s oblivious faults, the boy was terrifyingly insightful when it came to Jamil's physical well-being. He’d notice something was wrong instantly.

Maybe...Ruggie? Jamil grimaced. The hyena would probably be more than happy to do it if Jamil paid him enough, but the sheer amount of blackmail material? Ruggie would tease him to the absolute end of his days. He’d never live it down.

But what if he used his signature spell?

The thought sparked a dangerous, brilliant line of logic. If he used his signature spell, he could force someone to do it, and they wouldn’t remember a single, embarrassing second of it. It would be the perfect crime. But he still needed the right candidate. He needed someone who would actually come to his room without questioning his motives, someone careful enough to follow exact instructions, and someone whose magical compliance wouldn't shatter under pressure.

Azul Ashengrotto.

The name rang through his head, bringing an immediate wave of equal parts visceral disgust and desperate hope.

No, anyone but him, Jamil thought, squeezing his eyes shut. Azul was a scheming, manipulative parasite. He would come right into Jamil's hands, with no questions, and he would do it fast. Plus, Azul’s meticulous nature meant he would follow orders perfectly under hypnosis.

"Okay," Jamil muttered through gritted teeth, his eyes flashing with a dangerous, sharp resolve. "Azul it is then.." Azul was about to become a very unwilling and a very oblivious savior.

Though he'd argue with the term unwilling. It was probably the wrong word for it. If we'll remove the spell and look into Azul's real motives then he wouldn't seem unwilling at all. In fact, if left to his own subconscious devices, the octopus murest would probably find a twisted, genuine joy in having the fiercely independent Jamil Viper entirely at his mercy.

Oh, how Jamil did not want that. But beggar mages couldn't be choosers. Thank the Seven the universe had granted him such a beautifully toxic gift as his signature spell. Honestly, it had saved his flesh more times than he cared to admit.

And here he was.

The Hall of Mirrors was transitionally freezing. The sudden drop from Scarabia’s desert heat to the enchanted stone chamber made Jamil shudder, the chill biting sharply into his exposed skin. Scarabia’s uniforms were deliberately designed for a wasteland. Loose silks, bare midriffs, sleeveless vests. He was already imagining how these clothes would make him feel once he crossed over into the Octavinelle dorm, which was literally underwater. Imagining how those revealing, easily accessible clothes would play so perfectly into Azul’s hands. The annoying buzzing in his ribs flared up viciously at the thought, a sharp spark of heat in the cold room. AHEM. He needed to stop thinking about it.

The Mostro Lounge was operating at its usual sleek, bustling rhythm. The clinking of expensive glassware, the low murmur of jazz, and the sea of black tuxedos made Jamil stand out like a burning ember.

"Oh? Jamil?"

Azul’s voice rang out, smooth and dripping with calculated hospitality as he spotted the Scarabia vice housewarden standing near the entrance. Azul was at his usual table, elegantly folding a silk handkerchief in his hands. He looked up, adjusted his glasses, and offered a smug, practiced smile.

"What an entirely unexpected pleasure. To see you coming to me, rather than the other way around... well, I must admit my curiosity is piqued. Did Kalim finally overspend his budget, or are you looking to negotiate a trade agreement for Scarabia’s spices?" He purred, leaning over the counter.

Jamil didn't answer immediately. He took a slow, deliberate breath. His dark eyes fixed onto Azul’s blur ones. He felt the magic building in the back of his throat, warm and heavy.

"No business today, Azul," Jamil said, his voice dropping into a low, hypnotic cadence. He took a step forward, the crimson magic bleeding into his irises, glowing faintly in the dim lounge lighting. "I just came here to check on you. You won't mind it, right?"

Azul opened his mouth to deliver another sharp, witty retort but the words died on his tongue.

A sudden, heavy wave of dizziness washed over Azul’s mind. It wasn't a painful sensation; rather, it felt like someone had poured warm, thick honey directly into his thoughts. The sharp, analytical edges of his brain suddenly softened. The bustling noise of the Lounge faded into a distant, muffled hum. Why was Jamil here? It didn't matter. It was completely fine. It was... incredibly casual. Normal, even. Why should he question it? Jamil was just a friend checking in. A very dormant, peaceful fog settled over his consciousness, wiping away every ounce of his usual paranoia.

Azul’s sharp eyes glazed over, losing their frantic, calculating spark, staring blankly ahead. "Right...I don't mind at all.."

Jamil took another step closer, his own heart hammering against his ribs. Both from the strain of holding the spell and the maddening buzz still tormenting his sides. He needed to get Azul away from the crowd before the octopus did something unscripted.

"Mind if we... move into your room, please?" Jamil murmured, the crimson glow in his eyes pulsing gently. "You wouldn't mind that one too, right?"

"Yes...of course..." Azul droned.

Without a single shred of hesitation, Azul neatly set his silk handkerchief down on the table. He completely forgot about the dozens of paying customers filling his lounge. He forgot about his ledgers, his profits, and his schemes. Moving with slow, heavy, but entirely persistent steps, Azul turned on his heel and began walking toward his private dormitory quarters.

His mind was completely, beautifully blank. He didn't question why they were going to his bedroom. He didn't question why Jamil's breathing was slightly ragged. He just followed the warm, red command echoing in his head, leading the way into the quiet darkness of his bedroom.

The heavy door to Azul’s private quarters clicked shut, sealing out the last remaining murmurs of the Mostro Lounge. The room was cool, cast in the deep, submerged blues of the underwater dorm, and the sudden quiet was almost deafening.

Azul stood like a perfectly tailored statue in the center of the room, his hands hanging loosely at his sides, his eyes wide and completely unblinking behind his frames. He was entirely at Jamil’s disposal, a blank canvas waiting for ink.

Now that the door was locked and the spell had successfully isolated them, the sheer exhaustion of fighting his own body caught up to him. With his composure slipping, the phantom thrumming in his ribcage flared up like a roaring fire. His hands instantly flew to his sides, his fingers clawing desperately through the thin silk of his Scarabia vest, trying to crush the agonizing, invisible tickle that was threatening to tear a breathless sob from his throat.

Jamil forced his eyes open, his pupils glowing a sharp, intense crimson as he locked his gaze back onto the hypnotized Octavinel housewarden.

"M-move on to the bed," Jamil commanded, an uncharacteristic, slight hesitation cracking through his voice. "Sit down on it."

As the words left his mouth, a sudden wave of paranoia washed over him, making him feel deeply uneasy. What if he had been wrong his entire life? What if, under the right conditions, the victims of Snake Whisper actually could remember the events that took place? Or what if the hypnosis hadn’t actually worked this time, and Azul was just pretending to obey his orders purely for the sake of his own twisted amusement? Even if none of those terrifying theories were true, it was still profoundly weird talking to Azul like this even though Jamil was perfectly aware the man was no more than an empty puppet right now, mindlessly waiting for orders.

"Yes.." Azul murmured. Without a second thought, he walked up toward his bed and sat perfectly straight, placing his hands neatly on his lap. So entirely oblivious.

Jamil cleared his throat. He now had absolutely everything he needed: isolation, a big bed, and Azul. But now that the moment was here, he just didn't know how to start all of this without giving himself terminal second-hand embarrassment. His cheeks burned with a sudden, furious heat as he dragged himself over to Azul's bed. He lay down on the mattress, groaning aloud at his own stupidity and the utter ridiculousness of the situation.

Frustrated and overwhelmed, he buried his face in his hands, using the movement to finally force his elbows away from his agonizing torso.

"Azul," Jamil called out from behind his palms. "...Tickle me. N-now."

He mumbled the command through his fingers, which suddenly served as an accidental blindfold. Because of it, Jamil was taken by complete shock when he felt ten fingers suddenly digging straight into his exposed sides. He choked on a startled, breathless yelp, caught completely off-guard by the unexpectedness of the touch more than the sensation itself.

Well, it didn't take long for the actual sensation to catch up, violently pushing a wave of frantic laughter right out of Jamil's chest.

"Gh-ACK!! A-Azul!" Jamil croaked, instantly erupting into a fit of frantic giggles, the volume of which he couldn't control as Azul’s fingers vibrated cruelly against his sensitive flanks.

"Yes?" Azul replied blankly at the mention of his own name, his hands not ceasing their relentless attack for even a second.

"NOhoOT SO FAHAST!! AaAghh- HahaHA—!" Jamil exclaimed absentmindedly. He didn't even care what he was saying at this point, just desperately throwing out words to fill up the awkward, thrumming silence of the room around them.

True to the hypnotic command, Azul reacted to the order, immediately slowing the frantic pace of his fingers. Jamil groaned in frustration, the sound muffled against his arms. That was not what he meant! The sudden deceleration was a different kind of torture. Instead of shutting the buzzing, Azul’s slowed, deliberate movements were just dragging the agonizing tickle out!

Now, how on earth was he supposed to force himself to ask this puppet to speed back up? The sheer humiliation of having to beg his rival for an aggressive tickling was almost worse than the physical torment.

"Azul," he called his name again, his voice tight. He exhaled sharply through his nose, his jaw clenching as he found himself completely unable to voice the ridiculous words swirling on his tongue. Faster. Squeeze harder. It felt like swallowing glass just thinking about saying that out loud.

But Azul was merely waiting, his dulled, hypnotic gaze fixed on Jamil’s squirming form, his fingers lightly pacing across Jamil's ribs at a torturously lazy, rhythmic crawl. It was driving Jamil insane.

"Increase...the speed," Jamil finally managed to hiss out between gritted teeth, his glowing red eyes flashing open past his fingers to glare helplessly at the ceiling. "Go back to how it was before."

"Yes," Azul droned.

The response was instantaneous. Like a machine being switched back to high gear, Azul’s hands suddenly dug back into Jamil’s waist with a ruthless, vibrating friction. The leather of his gloves practically targeted the most hyper-sensitive spots on Jamil's flanks, kneading and scratching with a sudden, overwhelming intensity that sent Jamil's back arching off the sheets.

"Pff—ahAHAHA!!" Jamil’s legs immediately kicked out against the heavy blankets, his entire torso arching off the bed as the frantic, uncontrollable laughter exploded from him once more. He twisted violently, his hands abandoning his face to instinctively try and swat at Azul’s wrists, but the hypnotized housewarden was relentless, shifting his weight to trap Jamil’s frantic movements and continuing the merciless assault.

"WahAHAit, Azul, stop—!" The word flew out of Jamil’s mouth completely absentmindedly, a desperate, knee-jerk reaction to a particularly brutal scribble right against his lower ribs.

Instantly, Azul’s hands froze. True to the absolute, unyielding compliance of the hypnosis, the Octavinel housewarden stopped moving entirely, his fingers remaining lightly hovered just millimeters away from Jamil’s flushed, trembling waist.

The sudden silence in the room was deafening. Jamil lay flat on his back, his chest heaving as he stared at the ceiling, panting heavily. The immediate absence of the touch allowed that agonizing, maddening buzz beneath his skin to rush right back into his flanks, thrumming more intensely than before.

Jamil let out another deeply frustrated groan. He closed his eyes tight, thoroughly annoyed at his own stupid reflexes.

"Don't stop!" Jamil snapped immediately, his voice a mix of a command and sheer, desperate irritation. He threw his head back into the pillow, his hands gripping the sheets.

"Understood," Azul replied blankly, entirely unfazed by the sudden outburst.

Without a single moment of hesitation, those leather-gloved hands dug straight back into the hyper-sensitive dips of Jamil's sides, picking up right where they had left off with a ruthless, vibrating friction.

"ghhaAHahAHA!!" Jamil immediately erupted all over again, his body twisting wildly against the mattress as the frantic laughter washed away his anger, leaving him completely at the mercy of his own perfect crime.

Hi hi! For the characters and letter, could I have Floyd, Jade and Azul with K, G, R & A? (You can choose just one if it’s to much!)

K: Killer Move | As a ler, do they have special skills to use against their lees and drive them crazy with?

I wasn't sure if any of them had one, but after thinking about it more thoroughly, I think their merforms could be considered as a special skill for three of them. The tweels' big tails would provide a tight restraint while leaving both of their arms free for tickling. And I'm not even talking about Azul. He'd basically be recreating tentacle porn scenarios with this one, but c'monnn in twisted wonderland breathing underwater isn't exactly a miracle so I'd say this is a pretty evil skill.

G: Gentle | How do they react to gentle tickles?

Floyd? Oh, he's totally open to it. He'd childishly admit, "It tickles!" while just taking it. Basically, he'd just giggle and soak it all in.

As for Jade, I'd say he wouldn't really mind. It depends on just how gentle the tickling is. If it's soft enough, he might stay perfectly still, continuing whatever he was doing before or simply closing his eyes and letting the ler do as they please. But if the tickling gets even slightly less gentle, he'd definitely start commenting on it, since he wouldn't be able to sit upright anymore and would start twitching here and there.

Azullll....I don't want to make him seem like a tsundere, but it would absolutely fluster him. Gentle tickling would probably keep him constantly on edge. Not light enough for him to stay quiet, yet not intense enough to make him laugh properly. So he'd end up embarrassed by the whole 'not enough' situation, since he's too ticklish to relax like Jade does and too stubborn to give in like Floyd does.

R: Role | Lee or ler, what is generally their main role?

Floyd: Heavy switch. Literally, in his alchemy wear card, he first says, "It tickles!" and then immediately follows it up with, "I'm gonna get you back" so he's a pretty solid 50/50 switch. Maybe he leans slightly more toward being a ler, though, because not many people are brave enough to tickle him.

Jade: Ler. He probably wouldn't enjoy being tickled himself. He'd be more amused by the fact that someone is trying to tickle him than by the tickling itself. So ler feels like the closest option for him.

Azul: Oh god, how do I even explain this. Lee?? Ler?? Honestly, I feel like this man hates tickling in every possible aspect like, just the fact that it exists. He definitely wouldn't enjoy being tickled because it completely breaks the composed image he works so hard to maintain. But at the same time, he probably wouldn't go out of his way to tickle someone else either. Partly because he'd think why bother? and partly because he'd be terrified of them getting revenge on him afterward. So maybe he's technically more of a lee...but a very unwilling one.

A: Aftercare | What is their aftercare like after a heavy round of tickling?:)

Floyd: He'd mostly just stay with his lee afterward. Maybe a few random hugs here and there, but for the most part, he'd just keep talking about moments from the session. Do you remember that part? I liked it when you did that! Stuff like that. He'd be very openly enthusiastic about reliving the fun of it all.

Jade: Apologizing. Yeah, he'd definitely say sorry but not entirely mean it...More for the sake of decency and politeness than genuine regret. Still, he'd probably ask if his lee needed anything afterward and make sure they were at least somewhat comfortable.

Azul: Also apologizing, but unlike Jade, he might actually mean it. Or not. It really depends on how the lee reacted to the session. If they seemed genuinely overwhelmed, he'd start overthinking everything immediately. He'd spend the next few hours hovering around them, helping with basic things and constantly checking if they were okay.

Azul is 100% the most ticklish of the trio, but Jade is a close second. He doesn’t get tickled that often so he hasn’t really built up any defenses, and is woefully unprepared when Azul or Floyd gets revenge.

to say jade wasn’t expecting floyd and azul to get him back was an understatement. he had trained himself when he was younger to be much more composed when tickling was much more common between the three, but as the ticklish interactions lessened, so did his defenses.

so when floyd had finished tickling azul to oblivion alongside jade, jade had been wholly unprepared the moment the other two had set their sights on him, almost as if it were a pre-planned attack.

suddenly, azul’s arms hooked underneath his, a tight grip that even he had difficulties moving from. and floyd, ever the eager one, had immediately begun attacking jade’s worst spots right off the bat.

“what a su-surprising.. tuhuhurn of evehehents..” jade said, trying to remain casual when he was anything but.

“hush, jade, laugh~!” floyd replied, not believing a second of jade’s effort to seem nonchalant. azul seemed much more determined, trying to tickle jade’s neck, even with the awkward angle.

“….pfh…!” jade muffled, head tilting down.

“no need to keep up this act, jade. i have to say, it’s quite pleasant seeing you like this,” azul said, a sort of playful mocking tone in his voice.

floyd began tickling under his arms, scribbling and scratching at the skin. even through his clothes, it was still a bad spot and floyd knew it.

“g-gah… flohohoyd! ahahahazul!” finally. finally. giggles from jade’s mouth filled the air as he could no longer hide his laughter.

“you’re laughing!” floyd exclaimed.

“my, who knew you could be reduced to a .. giggly mess so easily?” azul added, even though minutes earlier, he was in the same exact position. jade pulled at his arms, but azul was really strong, even more so when jade was feeling weakened.

“i c-cohohould sahahahay the sahahame for you!” jade retorted, but when he was struggling to say it within fits of laughter, it was hard to take seriously.

“tickle tickle~” floyd cooed, teasing and jade’s laughter only increased with the two tickled with more vigor. azul and floyd sent a look towards each other. maybe they should get jade more often, they said, without words.

“This isn’t your first relationship?” Azul asked, incredulously and not for the first time that evening. Jamil exhaled slowly, rising from the bed after Azul stood up.

“No, but–” Jamil tried to explain, reaching a hand to touch Azul’s shoulder.

“So I’m not your first boyfriend?” Azul added, lightly shoving Jamil’s hand off. He could tell that Jamil was confused why he was so upset, but there were too many factors that changed now!

Since the start of the relationship, he had been trying to lead, so that both of them felt more comfortable. He was sure that Jamil had just as little experience as him; that is to say, none. Not that Jamil wasn’t attractive or interesting enough for a relationship– after all, Azul had had his eyes on him from the moment he saw Jamil that one fateful afternoon in his freshman year, but it was Jamil. Jamil didn’t necessarily act as though he hated the notion of love, but simply like he didn’t have the time for it. It wasn’t that he had all the time in the world now, but he had learned to make time for Azul. Even so, that wasn’t the point!

Jamil had dated someone. Before he dated Azul.

Hearing that, thoughts scrambled through Azul’s mind.

“I must have looked like a fool! Trying to make moves because I thought you were too nervous to! I thought we shared our first kiss, but it must’ve been just me. Oh sevens, I must have seemed so inexperienced–”

“Azul, stop,” Jamil cut him off, lacing their fingers together, as he and Azul locked eyes. Azul closed his mouth. He hadn’t realized how much he had been rambling. “It’s true you weren’t my first boyfriend. Or my first kiss.” Azul bit his lip at that. Jamil continued. “But, that doesn’t mean I love you any less. Do you truly think of me so low that I would care how experienced or inexperienced you are?”

Azul averted his gaze, sheepishly. “...No, I suppose you wouldn’t.”

Jamil smiled. It was a sight that Azul had rarely ever seen prior to their relationship, so when he did get the chance to see it, he would commit it to memory. Even now, Jamil’s smile made him breathless. “See?”

Azul pouted, not really wanting to admit that he really had been overthinking it. Jamil kept his gaze straight on him, his expression slowly morphing into one more his usual style: amusement. While Azul kept his gaze on anything but the boy in front of him, he hadn’t noticed Jamil leaning in until his lips were meeting his neck, causing Azul’s breath to hitch.

Still, he didn’t avoid it. Jamil was unrelenting as he continued to pepper Azul’s neck with small, yet sensual kisses, as he slowly made his way up towards his jaw. Azul looked up as Jamil moved closer, their hands still interlocked.

When Jamil started kissing his cheeks and his face, the urge to giggle arose, and Azul bit his lip. The other didn’t show any indication of noticing, but as he kept going, Azul found it harder and harder to resist. Jamil let go of Azul’s left hand to wrap his arm around his neck, twirling Azul’s hair in his index finger. He would intentionally graze Azul’s ear, and paired with the cheek kisses, Azul couldn’t hide the huff of laughter slipping through his lips. There was no way Jamil didn’t know what he was doing, Azul thought, grimacing. Azul peeked down, narrowing his eyes at the smirk that was adorned on Jamil’s face each time he pulled away for another kiss.

“Jamil…” Azul muttered, somewhat of a warning, and when they met eyes once again, Jamil’s smirk deepened.

“Azul,” Jamil replied, but said nothing more as his hands latched onto Azul’s sides, pinching him softly before catching him in a kiss.

“Mph..!” Azul’s giggles were muffled as he tried to step away from his lover, but Jamil’s grip on him was tight.

“Something the matter?” Jamil asked, a sly and positively delighted look in his eyes.

“You— ahaha!” Azul sputtered in Jamil’s face when Jamil leaned in again.

Jamil was having a field day with this. Azul half-heartedly glared at him, but he knew the blush he definitely had would give him away. Jamil seemed to take notice as well because he brought a finger to Azul’s cheek, grazing over it slowly.

Azul never thought he would be one to have ticklish cheeks, but you learn something new everyday.

“N-nahaha! Jahamil!” Azul cried, embarrassed at his immediate laughter. With Jamil, he found it difficult to hide parts of himself that no one else saw.

The entire time, Jamil didn’t relent with his kissing as his hand traced over Azul’s cheek, the other trailing around his sides and tummy. It was so strange, yet Azul had never felt so loved.

“With my last boyfriend,” Jamil started and Azul would have frowned had he not been too busy laughing. Bringing up his ex now? “I liked him, but I didn’t love him. Not like I love you.”

Azul froze at his words. Jamil’s tickle attack slowed down, so it was much easier for Azul to resist his laughter. He sputtered, not quite sure how to respond.

“And,” Jamil added, in a tone that meant nothing good. “I’ve never tickled him before, so you can consider that one of our firsts.”

Jamil tickled him for real this time, scratching his tummy almost as if he were a child. It was almost humiliating to experience, though extremely effective.

Azul snorted around his next giggle, and when he heard Jamil chuckle at that, he wanted to crawl into a hole and die.

“I never knew you could be taken down as something as adorable as tickling,” Jamil teased, a playful tone in his words that Azul absolutely loathed (he didn’t). Azul couldn’t respond, caught up in his laughter and fluster.

But still… tickling as one of their.. firsts?? Does that even mean anything? And, Azul had never really had a chance to tickle Jamil so—

Wait. Azul’s eyes widened as he came to a realization through his laughter. Why hadn’t he ever tried to tickle Jamil?

Determination suddenly coursed through his veins, even as Jamil’s fingers lingered on a certain spot on his right side that Jamil had learned was particularly sensitive to him.

Even through his hysterical laughter, he forced his hand to move towards Jamil’s side, squeezing the skin tentatively. Jamil flinched at that, letting out a gasp.

That didn’t get as much as Azul had hoped, but it did mean he still had a chance. His other hand met Jamil’s other side, repeating the same action. When the other realized what he was doing, he tried to pay Azul back by tickling him more intensely.

By now, Jamil had led him back into Azul’s bed, straddling him, but Azul could feel that he was close to getting the upper hand.

Azul drew in as much strength as he could before bucking his hips. Jamil, having not expected that, faltered, which gave Azul the opportunity he needed. He flipped Jamil over, switching their positions.

Jamil went rigid before he schooled his expression into a more neutral expression, but Azul has caught it. Jamil averted his eyes at the smug look on Azul’s face.

“Don’t look so proud. You look gross,” Jamil murmured, and it reminded Azul of back when they were still pining for one another. He smiled at the thought.

“Oh? Since you seem so keen on tickling me, I thought I should return the favor,” Azul grinned, feeling ecstatic.

“What a stupid thought..” Jamil replied, rolling his eyes but Azul knew him well now. Jamil’s eyes were still averted, looking at the wall next to them. It was something that Azul learned he did when he was either nervous or lying.

“Is that so?” Azul muttered, a bit offhandedly, as he found the temptation was too hard to keep teasing Jamil and get to the main event. His hands met his boyfriend’s ribs, pinching and prodding between the crevices.

Jamil bit his lip, seemingly set on not allowing Azul to break him.

That is, until Azul tried to tickle Jamil’s underarms. Jamil’s underarms were ticklish, but that wasn’t what broke him. No, it was when Azul unintentionally poked at Jamil’s biceps, which were extremely ticklish.

Jamil blinked. Azul smiled.

“Ahahahazul! Stahahap!” Jamil cried, trying to push Azul’s unyielding fingers away from his sensitive skin.

“Ah, there it is.”

Azul squeezed at the biceps, only taking exactly three seconds to admire them before he blushed. Luckily, Jamil didn’t notice. Azul exhaled, allowing another smirk to adorn his lips.

“Ticklish, aren’t you?” Azul asked, his words a bit slurred.

“D-dohohon’t ahahact lihihike you aharen’t too!” Jamil argued. Azul scoffed.

“Is this really the time now to be saying that?” Azul forced a frown, before he found it was too hard to look angry at the other at that moment.

He poked and scribbled and tickled any spots that Jamil “let” him have access to, noting particularly sensitive spots in his head. If Jamil knew his weakness, he should know Jamil’s too!

Jamil’s lips were parted wide and Azul dipped down, meeting his lips with his own before he could help it. Jamil went along with it, as Azul stopped tickling him, becoming distracted.

The night was followed with lots of kissing and tickling. The words ‘I love you’ were muttered dozens of times by each of them until the words felt like second nature. It was a special night and Azul wouldn’t trade it for the world.

By the end of it, he couldn’t even remember what sparked it all.

in hindsight, neither of them really knew how this happened. a rather foolish but interesting competition, in fact, but idia and azul were not quitters in the name of games. the two were feeling quite competitive today and had gone through nearly all the games, but that did not satiate their thirst for winning.

after a particularly painful defeat on idia’s part, azul had laughed at his dismay. under idia’s breath, he had said, “haha laugh it up.”

azul stopped laughing, smug smile still on his face. “should i not? what a rather.. humiliating defeat. should i comfort you instead?”

“as if. you wouldn’t be able to hold your laughter in,” idia grumbled.

“what an absurd statement. you act as though i laugh all the time.”

“wanna put it to the test?” idia rolled his eyes and before azul had a chance to respond, he had jumped over the couch and began tickling azul. azul gasped, but had not laughed and instead tried to tickle idia back, realizing the challenge.

which is why, the two were on the couch in the board game club, hands latched to the other’s sides, trying to make each other laugh first.

idia was more rash in his approach, roughly yet not painfully squeezing at azul’s sides. “i.. i will mahake y-you laugh!” idia glared at the other.

“not ihihif i g-get youhu to, f-fihirst..!” azul stuttered, biting his lip. his hands were more delicate and precise, skittering and spidering over idia’s body— his sides, his tummy, his ribs— with impressive haste.

seconds later, they became more and more desperate in their attempts, tossing and tumbling on the couch. it was a shock that they hadn’t fallen, but there was too much happenjng to think about that.

i’m going to win, each of them thought. an interesting competition, indeed.
