Is King Bumi a Martell?

I tend to think not, but a lot of that is because so many of those Martell features are contextualized by familial dynamics, and we don’t see him operating in that kind of situation.

He definitely has “conscious manipulation of public image” and I guess sass (Kangaroo Island is hopping), along with a deeply rooted sense of authority. But those communication flaws and the whole “I created a conflict by trying to avoid it”...not as much. In fact, his adoption of neutral jing was a valid and suitable strategy; quite a bit different from Doran’s overripe blood oranges. Plus where’s his self-deprecation? I demand self-deprecation!
