Can we get a shedding Levi, and mc helps him go through it? Like sitting in/beside the bath while he soaks his scales(so shed removal is much easier) and gently pulling the shed off? I think he deserves it 😌

you’ll have to be very close with him for this to even be on the table. and you’d need to offer, hes going to be far too shy to ask. but if you two already have an emotionally intimate relationship, and especially if you’ve shown interest or affection for his tail he will let it happen. 

Levi doesn't maintain his tail much before you showed interest. when hes been particularly neglectful the skin will be thinner then usual and break easily. and of course if he picks at it too early it will pull and bleed and its very unpleasant for him. 

one way to remedy this is maintain enough humidity in his room (since that's where he spends the majority of his time anyway) and to eat a better diet then just the junk snacks and energy drinks he sneaks while binge playing a new game. 

another way to help, would be a nice steam bath when the skin starts to show signs of shedding.

Levi prefers the water anyway. often feeling awkward outside of it, when in water he moves gracefully, the twinkling of light reflecting off his skin. you sit beside him in the large tub, practically a mini pool really, dipping your legs just below the knees in to join him. 

“hey! be gentle.” you scold him when you see him scratch at the scales on his neck. he grumbles and huffs, but swims over to the edge where your sat anyway. 

“can, uhh... can you help with the...” his head is hung low and shy as he turns his back to you, and you catch a glimpse of the pale film over the scales on the back of his shoulder. 

you hum softly and reach forward, running your hand up from the middle of his back as not to startle him. you run your hands over one of the scales, feeling where soft flesh meets smooth scales. you run your thumb over the skin, as though you were giving someone a gentle massage. the film of skin peels right off, leaving you with a small disc like shape of it.

Levi’s scales are black upon first glance. the darkness of them dulls as the skin gets ready to shed. however once the dead skin as been removed you are greeted with a beautiful sight. they reflect purple, blue, and a bit of green in the light. iridescent as a dragonfly’s wing. 

“you’re scales are so pretty Levi.” you hum, rubbing the new skin and tracing the area softly. 

“th-thanks.” shy or not he can't help but lean in to your touches. you touch him so gently, pet him so softly, your hands feel warm and bury it as he tried he can't help the desire to curl up in your lap and rest. warm, safe, loved.

“alright lets see that pretty tail of yours now, hm?” you purr, placing the dead skin in a small pile to the side. 

“y-yeah okay.” he nods once, floating on his stomach and slithering it up from below him. you know his tail is just a continuation of his spine, and thus the skin turns to scales at the base of his back where his pelvis begins. 

you trace a hand down from the middle of his back again, feeling him twitch just slightly beneath you. the skin of his tail is already folding over its self, fully dislodged from his flesh. 

the base of his tail is a bit bigger then his thigh and it tapers down to being the size of his pinky finger. you absentmindedly wonder if the size of his spine is larger to accommodate the weight. 

lifting the part your touching just a bit out of the water, you wrap your hands around the tail over the dead skin. at first you pull just slightly, watching as the top layer glides right off. once you’ve gotten part way down, you pull the part not yet shed up into your lap.

Levi mostly does the rest. you hold the skin and he pulls his tail through. the scales are soft over your thighs as the tail slithers off, leaving the shed in your lap. when he comes to the tip you have to be careful, you’ve been successful it removing it in once piece but the skin there is much thinner and smaller. 

with your dominate hand you pull the last of the shed off successfully, giggling to yourself as the tip taps at your leg gently before wrapping itself around your right thigh. Levi rests on the side of the tub next to you, his tail slowly wrapping itself around your leg gently. 

inspecting the shed you can see it holds none of the color nor iridescent of his scales, apart from the very top part, which has a darker hue then the rest. 

“it came out beautifully Levi!” you grin, holding the long strip of skin out to show him. he shrugs in reply, you can feel the very tip of his tail tapping at your ankle under the water. 

“I'm impressed you got it off in one piece.” he admits, looking at the skin with disinterest. 

“what do you want me to do with it?” you asked, gently gathering it and placing it with the pile. 

“it really doesn't matter. I usually just throw it out or leave it in the garden. its just dead skin.” he shrugs again. you hum, looking down at it curiously. 

“hm, I suppose that's true.” you wondered, turning back to the demon in the tub. “can I have it?”

he blinks at you in shock. “why would you want it? its kinda gross-”

“magic.” you respond immediately. Levi looks down at the shed then back to you. 

“I guess that's true... yeah you can keep it if you want it.” he agrees, swimming around till he floats in front of you. 

“thanks! I'm sure demon snake shed will be good for something!” you grin and he just shakes his head at you in bewilderment. 

“hey... come swim with me?” Levi extends his hand to you, tail tugging gently from where its still wrapped around your leg. 

you reach out and take his hand, scooting to the edge of the pool. the drop off is steep and its too deep for you to touch the bottom. normally you would hesitate more, but the look on his face. no trace of even a blush, just a shin in his eyes as he beckons you into the deep water.

as you slip off the edge, his tail pulling you down into the warmth gently you wonder for a moment. is this what sailors felt when lured into the depths by sirens?
