What are your feelings on Levitt?
Oh my tiny well-meaning boy.
He does mean well! He's just terrible at this! His conviction that there is A Trick to getting promoted would serve him well in another precinct if he was capable of being subtle with it.
But he isn't. (capable of being subtle. Or in another precinct.)
He could be a good cop. He is fairly competent as a base which is a good start, and he is already deeply devoted to duty and his fellow officers. But he has to figure out how to take people at face value and when to do so, which is hard and takes time. It would also be good for him to investigate why he wants to be a detective so badly but y'know that's probably more of a therapy thing than an 80s macho man thing so that's not going to happen for a while, if ever.
He's trying, bless him.
