Felix’s character is pretty much demolished now

I remember the end of S4 and how I was super hyped to have Felix as a rogue holder with an extreme selfishness but something about him getting with Kagami is so random and out of character to me?

They barely met and he literally kidnapped her…

For some reason I think I just had a super fanon idea of Felix in my head… one where he was super mature and didn’t care for human relation outside of his family - and especially wanted Gabriel’s downfall.

So why in the actual shit did he basically hand all the Miraculous to him?

If Felix’s main goal is to gain freedom for the Sentimonster’s (assuming the Kagami senti theory is true), why would he enable their abuser?

Felix was supposed to be a villain. They made him assault Marinette, get rid of the Miraculous, and lie and lie and lie. So why now are they getting him with Kagami and trying to make him likeable?

Choose one!

Also… on the topic of that theory. It is so fucking weird how they made Felix call the sentimonsters his siblings… if Kagami is a senti… and he’s dating her… *skull emoji*

Would you think it would be a good idea that Warner did a movie like The Joker but with Lex? Like a movie with more realistic themes and not very connected with the canon but still with enough references to Superman and stuff. Do you think it would be any good or it would be weird and messy?

i haven't actually seen the joker movie -- I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of the joker so i don't go out of the way to engage with a lot of joker-centric content -- but as far as a lex-centric movie with him as a protagonist... I'm not sure?

ultimately, i think the biggest hurdles to a lex-centric solo movie would be that lex doesn't really have the pull that joker has.

i don't think cutting superman out altogether in a lex movie would work, but limiting him and keeping the story from lex's perspective could definitely make for an interesting story. (that's actually pretty similar to lex luthor: man of steel, which is... comic that is technically very good but that i did not like very much.)

i think if you're going to tell a story from lex's perspective, you need to go all in on the idea that lex earnestly sees himself as the hero in his own story. he seems himself as a futurist, and i think that needs to be clear whether you go more in the direction of him being a scientist or a business tycoon, though i personally think leaning into the mad scientist angle with him is more interesting than just using him as like, a jeff bezos proxy or w/e.

if it wasn't so bogged down with green lantern lore that it would be highly inaccessible as a movie, i would suggest the black ring arc as a solo movie, bc it is by far one of the best comic runs with lex as a villain protagonist, but it would probably make for a very weird movie.

i do think that forever evil could be adapted to a movie pretty easily, but it's more likely to be one of DC's animated movies than a live-action movie.

hi it’s 1 am and I am once again thinking about weinerham here’s a snippet I have no context for

Randy turns over on the bed and looks towards Howard, who’s staring at his phone screen, looking tired. He smiles slightly.

“Hey, Howard....” he says quietly.

Howard quickly looks away from his phone and looks towards Randy.

“What’s up?”

There’s a weird, sudden sense of nervousness Randy feels as he tries to compile his thoughts. He didn’t know why he nervous, though. After all, this was Howard. He didn’t have to be nervous around him.

“.....Thanks for watching over me and taking care of me while I heal from getting stabbed earlier.” Randy says, quicker than he meant to. “I know it’s a hassle but.... it means a lot.”

Howard is.... surprised to hear that.

“Well, what am I supposed to do?” He replies. “I can’t just abandon you when you’re like this....”

Randy smiles wider. He’s had his doubts about Howard, that maybe he should have listened to the nomicon and ditched him during the battle of the bands, but.... Suddenly all his doubts just faded.

Howard’s his best friend, he’s always been there for him. Even during his most shoobtastic moments like when Lucious O’Thunderpunch came to town, Howard didn’t abandon him. He instead gave it to him straight and forced him to realize what a shoob move throwing the mask away was. That’s just how Howard is. Other people don’t approve of it, especially not the nomicon, but.... Howard doesn’t need that approval.

“That’s what I like about you.” Randy suddenly says after about a minute of silence. “You’re a jerk but you’re always there for me. You don’t sugarcoat things and tell me exactly what I need to hear. You.... you live life like you’re the only person in the world. And you....”

Randy keeps going, just talking about all the things he admires about Howard. He didn’t know exactly what he was saying, but it just came so naturally he couldn’t stop himself. It felt nice. He’s had these thoughts kept in a bottle in the back of his mind, and right now, he didn’t want to close that lid.

“You make me feel safe. Like I don’t need to worry about McFist or the sorcerer destroying me because I know that won’t happen if you’re there.”

“You.... really mean all that?” Howard asks. “I mean, I know I’m great but.... you’re sure that’s not just the art of heal talking?”

“Yeah, I’m sure.”

Howard can’t help but smile.

“.....I like you too, you know?” He says, looking away. “....I like how determined you are. You never give up on something, and you’re always there to protect me. You don’t like letting people down, and you don’t like hurting people either. You’re.... really kind. Your puns are stupid but the small little giggle you do after saying them.... they’re adorable. And the way your voice gets all whiny whenever something goes wrong.... and how....”

Howard keeps going. It felt too wrong to stop, especially after all the nice things Randy just said about him. Randy’s.... shocked.

“....Am I really like that?” He asks, interrupting Howard.

“Why would I be saying it if it wasn’t?”

“You.... you don’t think I’m stupid or weak?”

“What?! Of course not! I mean, yeah you’re stupid but in the good kinda way. Why would you think that?”

“....Well, uh.... The ninja nomicon-“

Howard’s face suddenly turns angry. He turns and glares at the book sitting on the nightstand next to him.

“Ninja nomicon don’t know shoob.” He says, louder than expected. “And anyone who says you’re stupid or weak doesn’t know shoob either. Because you’re not. I know you’re not.”

Randy smiles again. “....Thanks... I.... I needed that....”

The book glows and buzzes. Howard rolls his eyes at it. Randy yawns,and moves himself closer to Howard. Howard moves closer to him, and wraps his arms around him. Randy does the same.

“.....I love you, Howard....”

Howard widens his eyes and gasps softly as Randy closes his eyes, far too sleepy to keep them open any longer. That was.... unexpected, to say the least. Does he really mean it, or was the magic making him say that? Whatever it was.... Howard couldn’t deny that he felt the same.

“I.... love you too....”

Does anybody ever have random headcanons about the people they’ve been neighbors with for years? Like, I live next to this family and I totally headcanon that they always eat Sunday supper together and make all these homemade, wholesome meals and their daughter is a champion gymnast.
