elevator music \ this was quickly becoming dom’s worst nightmare. years of avoiding kai had finally come to a conclusion in the most awful place possible: an elevator lobby.
at first, dom acted as if he didn’t recognize him. he kept his eyes on the prize – the closed doors that should be opening soon – and said absolutely nothing that could implicate him of the crimes previously committed. ( okay, fine. it wasn’t a crime, but he’s treating it like one because it was a violation of his upright, serious image. )
( the violation in question? a declaration of eternal rivalry with fat tears rolling down his cheeks, face flushed tomato red — dominic ahn, age twelve, was a hideous, pathetic mess of a person when he said his goodbyes. )
he could only hope that kai hit his head afterwards and got amnesia. not that he’d wish anything bad on someone he used to call a friend, but … for his sake ...
the elevator doors creaked open.
dom hastily stepped in, chose his floor, then jabbed the CLOSE DOOR button, even though @lgckai was not yet in. CLOSE DOOR. CLOSE DOOR. CLOSE — why the hell was it taking so long? the doors stuttered and re-opened. dom looked up and there he was: the sunshine devil himself.
this isn’t hyoseop's first time on stage for family concert, yet he always feels a bit nervous when he’s about to stand on the stage. he’ll soon have been an idol for a year, time really does fly too fast sometimes, it feels like he blinked and everything happened so quickly. as much as he’s nervous though, he’s more excited. learning the type zero dances had been hard since he needed to learn them at once, but now he’s practiced them all a million times, and he might not be the most confident in his dance skills, but he knows he knows the choreography.
he turns his look to kai, about to run a hand through his own hair before remembering that’ll ruin the styling (though it might be ruined once he’s on stage anyway). “we’re opening for day two of the family concert, how are you feeling?”, “it’s a popular song, but it’s also one that got released before we joined type zero”. “you look good though” he sends a smile to the other.
infuriating. that's what it was. her luck had never been great but to be placed in this environment right as she had been planing her great escape seemed both a curse and a blessing. she felt fortunate, at least, to have her cousin by her side, the one whose visions she could always trust and who's skills would greatly aid them in their endeavor.
"do you believe we'll be able to succeed on our quest to find this knowledge? maybe it can help me make a successful escape," she sighs wistfully, brushing some dust of her gowns before setting another step before the next.
"I just hope my bad luck won't somehow have us encounter the very person I'm attempting to run away from," she jests, aware too late of the potential she could successfully just have jinxed herself.
( made just because the three of them keep having schedules and performances together since they are the three new kids and yours truly wanted to try blending :D )
perhaps he sounded just a little bit creepy giggling beside kai, bouncing on his heels to see where they'd go first. he'd left the reigns of directions to kai, not all too picky on where they'd be headed now that they had some time to roam free after a successful white day mini stage.
seeing fans got max all giddy and bubbling with energy. the direct comparison to last year when they'd been here as members of spring boys instead did little to help. if anything he now could clearly see phones following them, voices calling for them, making it hard for max to not snap up at every shout of his name and rush over to give another ten autographs before he'd receive a scolding look to enjoy his time instead of indulging the fans even more.
so to stop himself from that he'd tugged himself close to kai, an arm tossed over his shoulders while they were walking along. "don't you think it's like... funny we're back here?"
Time was ticking, the night was vanishing and he still had so many candies left, yikes!

Cupidyoon fully intended to ship Tee (@lgctee) with another V&A member, but decided the Jintee fangirls were way too scary to mess with. Tee got his soda candy first and Cupid took his sweet time walking around before finally dropping the matching one in Jinseo (@lgcjinseo)'s palm. The patience couple, he shall call this ship, because it was sailing at the speed of molasses. At this point, Seyoon might end up with four kids before these two even get any.
Seyoon noticed some sort of tension between Minkyu (@lgcminkyu) and Jihan (@lgcjihan). He figured any tension could be good tension and sometimes a little resentment made better sex. Regular cherry flavored candies went to this couple - just make up already!
The blueberry candy in his hand was reserved for Seunghyun's match but honestly, Seyoon was struggling. Seunghyun (@shxlgc) was his childhood friend, occasional enemy and an annoying twat. Nobody really deserved Seunghyun, take that sentence however you would like. So with a grin, Cupid approached his dear Mushushu with both blueberry candies in hand. He slipped them into Seunghyun's pocket with a wink. "I am sure you would rather take care of yourself." Hey, at least he didn't say the F word out loud.
One party boy deserved another and Seyoon simply knew Hyuk (@lgchyuk) and Haneul (@lgchxneul) would have fun together. In fact, he might want to join them. For partying, of course. Pineapple flavored candy for them, Seyoon's precious dance all night ship.
Now, what about Maylin (@lgcmaylin), dear Maylin. She hated most guys, didn't she? Seyoon handed her a peppermint candy because she spicy and looked around for her perfect match. Oh, maybe Eunwoo (@lgceunwoo)! The guy was hot and pretty quiet from what Seyoon remembered. If a man didn't talk much, he had less chance of saying the wrong thing, perfect!
Seyoon was pretty certain Max (@lgcxmax) was already dating a dude, but real life boyfriends didn't count for this Halloween game. After some contemplation, he decided to match Max with Kai (@lgckai) and came up with a whole dramatic story about two hardworking trainees, constantly stuck in evaluations together. Slowly developing feelings, stealing looks across the room and...Yes, it could be fun with their grape flavored candy.
Who was left?
Seyoon tossed Rowon (@rowonlgc)'s black cherry into the air and caught it back in his hand. Oh Rowon, this one was so very tricky.
So focused on his thoughts, he nearly ran into Soyoun (@lgcsoyoun). "Ah, I am sorry." He bowed his head like a good lil trainee but slipped the idol a light pink candy he believed to be cherry-blossom flavored. One of the more unique ones he'd gotten. The matching one he'd given to Ichika (@lgcichika) onee-sama earlier. Certain fanfics may have changed his favorite ships forever. Long live Ichiastrid.
His basket was nearly empty and the last couple to be matched with Hanie (@lgchanie) and Hyun (@lgchyun). They were both young, cute and could make an adorable puppy pair with their vanilla-flavored candy. In fact, if those two ever debut together, he might ship it.
