cards.
"wenjun... did you find a card, by any chance?" minki questions as he approaches the other boy, slightly confused. honestly, minki feels like he's been looking for quite a while to no avail, but for some reason he has a strong feeling that there's something where they stand right now. is it stubbornness? maybe, but he doesn't want to move on just yet! he knows there's something here!
"i have a strong feeling that we can find something in here, you know...." minki says, walking over to the @lgcwenjun with a huff. "i heard that someone got a drink me card, and i was wondering what that meant. would it be attached to something...? would we have to drink something? is it a challenge? do we get something out of it?"
maybe he's overthinking too much, that is, until he sees a piece of paper lodged between the floors. "oh wait, wenjun... i think i see something?" he blinks, crouching down and leaning closer. is that what he thinks it is? is it time for curiosity to kill the cat?

Call it instinct, or perhaps the quiet pull of a bond uniquely theirs, but Yoojoon has been feeling something deep in his gut—an ache that tells him Wenjun isn’t alright. There’s something off in the texts they’ve exchanged, something missing in Wenjun’s voice messages; that usual lilt at the end of his words, the subtle happiness he usually can’t hide when excited, isn’t there.
Something must have happened. And Yoojoon knows that Wenjun, more than anyone, isn’t one to share his burdens easily. He’s the kind to keep his worries contained, to shoulder them alone rather than pass them to others.
But Yoojoon is here for precisely that reason—he’s here to help carry those unspoken weights as both a boyfriend and a best friend.
It’s late in the evening, and the city is quiet by the riverside where Yoojoon waits, hoping that being close to the water, with the gentle sounds of ripples and wind, will offer some comfort.
They don’t live in the same dorm anymore, yet tonight, as they planned after schedules, Wenjun will walk up to meet him here, a bridge between their busy lives and the need for closeness that pulls them together.
When he finally sees Wenjun approaching in the dim light, Yoojoon feels the depth of that ache again—a mix of relief and concern. Without a word, he opens his arms, waiting with an embrace he knows Wenjun may need more than he’ll ever say.
harmless matchmaking fun.
PART ONE (because this got too long)
Time to get down to some serious business.
Cupid Seyoon was on the move, ready to hand out matching candies to his fated couples. He walked around the entire Halloween party ground, pretending to be innocently admiring people's costumes while in reality, diligently observed and schemed.
If any of his ships end up sailing after tonight and people get laid, he shall consider it his contribution to humankind and expect karmic rewards.
Please ctrl + f your character's first name if you don't want to read the whole thing. If I mentioned you, it's because you liked my plot call or told me on discord/twitter that you would not mind participating. Thanks everyone, for indulging me, this was so fun to write!

ten degrees of separation, with @lgcwenjun
it happened when he least expected and it made minjun cross his arms, kind of standing in the middle of his new bedroom, with a lost expression. it wasn’t that he didn’t know that could happen eventually, he just didn’t expect it to 1) grow ties with his dorm and 2) that the event would happen so soon.
looking around, dorm A was just like any other in terms of furniture disposition but it didn’t hold the same meaning, didn’t have the same smell or burnt toast or late-night snacks or even the same people who’d complain about back pain or losing sleep because their roommate was snoring too loud.
dorm a was an unknown land.
minjun closed two doors behind him - the bedroom and the room itself - before he strolled to the nearest common room and it was only when he saw the familiar back of his roommate’s head, that he could let a sigh of relief escape his lips.
“i hate my dorm, wenjunnie”, minjun complained, back hugging his former roommate, head resting on his shoulder, his full body embracing him like they used to do not long ago.

a list of things rowon currently does not have:
a basket, apparently buying more than three items is not the norm.
cell service, which wouldn’t be a huge problem if not for the next point.
lai wenjun, shopping buddy.
they’ve been tasked to buy the ’non-produce’ ingredients for dinner – chicken, chili paste, and a few cans of this and that. it’s supposed to be a fun trip to the grocery store, a quick grab and go, but now – “wenjun?” okay. so. maybe maybe maybe it’s on him for suggesting that they split up, but in his humble defense, he didn’t know the layout of the store was going to be this confusing.
rowon pokes his head above an aisle. “wenjun?” he calls out again, this time a little louder. still nothing. he readjusts the ingredients in his arms ( the store should really invest in baskets ) and continues pacing the small store. “wenjun!”
practice session @lgcwenjun
Somebody he didn't know very well died, and he ordered a bouquet from his mother's store to support her business.
There was a bit of a wait at the pick up. No line, just one awful human being deciding his time was more important than everybody else's. To add to Sujin's irritation, the idiot wasn't even there for flowers, he was trying to pick up the guy arranging them.
"He's taken." Sujin joined the two at the counter. "Get lost." Or die. The chill in his eyes made it clear that there was no third option.
The man wisely chose to live. Well done.
"Wenjun," Sujin sighed. "You are too nice. Don't give these people any of your time." His mom's employees weren't his responsibility, but he had time to kill today since one should never rush to attend a funeral. Might as well offer some advice. "Here, let's practice." He leaned over the counter the way the other guy did when he walked in. "Pretend I am the asshole from earlier, aggressively hitting on you and being a pest. Tell me to fuck off."
oh crab
hyoseop didn’t know what it was like being from a completely other country, actually he’d never been to another country than korea. he didn’t know what it was like not speaking korean. but he did know what it was like being new, he moved with his dad away into the city, leaving behind his sister and mom, he went to school completely new, and his dad getting busy as his career was taking off. hyoseop had always been fairly good at being new though, it was never a very big struggle. but he knew some people could struggle with in, and hyoseop always wanted to welcome new people in with big open arms.
wenjun had been in korea and legacy for around two years, the other joined the company at the same time as hyoseop. though hyoseop couldn’t help wenjun much on the trainee stuff, he did want to help the other learn korean and make friends around the company. he’s invited wenjun to the beach today, holding his shoes in his hands as he walks in the low water. “do you like the beach?” he looks up at wenjun with a smile, which quickly turns confused. looking down he lets out a shriek, shaking his foot which has now been attacked by a crab.
