I just got back from seeing the storybook house near Mermaid Park even though we're going under contract on cchv2 today.
I just have a couple of little things to initial and then that's it. We're in the 10 day inspection period. The clock starts ticking. I have to drop off a cashier's check etc etc etc. I am so tired
The Storybook House is a 40-minute drive away (in traffic). I didn't think the area was that impressive. It is and it isn't. It was very suburbs. I probably don't belong there. The house was really pretty perfect except that it effectively only had one bathroom, costs several hundred dollars more per month in taxes, and is 100 years old! And is 40 minutes outside the city and surrounded by white people with fake nails who love their cars and other suburban things.
We drove by CCHV2 on the way back and there was obscenely loud music bumping somewhere in the trees directly across the street from the house. So. That's a thing I am definitely not escaping. Whatever it is, will probably stop as soon as this thunderstorm passes through, but I'm going to walk back over there later tonight and maybe tomorrow night too just to see how crazy it gets with the neighbors, "listening to music and drinking."
