I always loved to think that Danny was very attractive and by very I mean it feels like you're hallucinating attractive.
The type of attractive that reminds you of being on a beach on a gray rainy day with a figure in the sea singing and not being able to look away once you meet the sirens gaze. The type of beauty that's pulling you in that you know it's dangerous you can't help but obey
people doubted and still doubt that Danny is the Fentons son. In the past they didn't believe in ghosts but they very much believed in sirens and were convinced that they stole Danny from the scene one day and somehow convinced him he was human.
Casper high though Danny may not remember it everyone in his school has suffered a great crush on him. However they found a solution. That solution being bully the siren so much so that you slowly convince yourself that it's just a loser.
It's a really effective solution once you think about it it really is! That way you will only have to think about the sirens social status instead of anything else. Ignore the sirens love for stars , ignore how cute and attractive the siren looks when he wakes up (don't ask summer camp and the boys had a saxuality crisis at 7:00 a.m.) , ignore the sirens pout every time they get displeased , ignore the fact that the siren is getting muscles. Ignore it all as it should be.
(and maybe sabotage the way they dress that also works)
It's easy to ignore the obvious when the siren themselves believes it. It's for the better really until one faithful day that everything had been ruined.
Casper high went on a trip to Gotham in hopes that some students would become interested in getting a job at Wayne enterprises and getting to know the different fields better.
everything was going perfectly fine. They entered the building and were looking around until they met HER. Bruce Wayne's only daughter.
Cassandra
She took one good look at Danny and had to go into in her eyes that could only be described as scheming. Quickly going ahead to talk to Danny and managing to slip them away as they hung out. Even Tucker and Samantha seemed offended and confused that their friend got stolen out of nowhere.
And oh ancients... Paulina was the first to face reality again.
Right on Cassandra Wayne's insta were multiple photos of the siren wearing sleeveless turtlenecks , gloves , military pants and high boots with his overgrown hair all down and a star piercing on his left ear...
But that's not all through Foley's cameras they discovered she was dressing him up and giving him a whole new wardrobe. She gave him white pajamas. WHITE PAJAMAS.
Normally that wouldn't be an issue considering they don't live with the siren however jazz is visiting for summer offering some college/university advice since they were about to graduate and they couldn't refuse. By the time they got there Danny would still be asleep only for him to eventually come down the stairs with a bed head still have sleep.
But it doesn't end there she gives them all sorts of clothes like a loose shirt with an open back perfectly highlighting a star tattoo no one knows Danny got and when with some black pants and belt and his hair half up looking like the relaxed son of an aristocratic family.
It kept going and Casper high knew this woman was trying to murder them. There is no other explanation for it. As they suffered in silence eyes glued to the screen unable to look away faced with a boy with piercing crystal blue eyes tan skin and jet black hair that you could swear you could see the void. Filled with a regret knowing they have no chance. Even Samantha and Tucker looked at a loss for words gaping at their friend
Meanwhile at the other side of Gotham
Cass: ooooh! Has anyone ever told you you look good in white? Thats a 100% your color! Have you considered working at Wayne enterprises as a model :3
Danny: *awkwardly laughs* stop it Cass! I'm blushing stop flattering me so much I'm not THAT attractive in order for you to make it your life's mission to fix my wardrobe
Cass: what nonsense! You're totally attractive in fact you're my younger brothers is type! Don't speak so lowly of yourself besides all of Gotham and window shopper freezed looking at you as if trying to distinguish if you're real or not! If it weren't for the fact they were in a trance looking at you I'm certain that people would flirt with you left and right and modeling companies would be begging for you to work for them.
Danny: *turns red looking at the window at the plethora of people staring at him gaping and looking down immediately* well they are going to be disappointed can't afford all of this either way if anything we should-
Cass: I have Bruce's credit card. Everything's on me now come on I have so many shops I want to take you to!
I would go in and meet the cute librarian, who is an English major that does not shame people for their taste in books. I would go there so often we would eventually become friends, and I would realize he is actually kinda hot. Unknown to me, he would also think I'm hot. We would reccommend books to each other constantly, and even read together. One day he would lend me a battered and annotated copy of his favourite book. I would be at the brink of crying because truly, what's more intimate than an annotated copy describing all the thoughts and emotions you had while reading? Once I finished the book, I would go return it to him late in the afternoon. He would ask me what I thought of it. I would say "It was a good book, but really your annotations were my favourite part. It felt as if you were right next to me". He would kiss me. Then we would cuddle on the sofa and watch Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow because we both agree it's a cinematic masterpiece. And then, right on that scene when Katrina says "I think you have no heart. And to think I once had a mind to give you mine" he would look me straight in the eyes and say "I have no heart, because I gave you mine. It's no longer my heart it's yours".
i just wanna hold hands with someone while we go to a bookstore, pick books for each other and read them together while their head rests on my shoulder
Summary: When Iwaizumi Hajime comes to your frustrated state and helps you when you can't get the book you need because of a couple occupying a book aisle.
College life is really different from how you imagined it to be. You do not know where you got the idea that the moment you go to college, you’ll be this different person from high school. Maybe you are different from when you were in high school, but not exactly the way you expect it to be. You have no idea why you imagine that you’ll be this confident looking woman who has friends to hang out with. You have no idea why you think that you’ll eventually be this person who would easily talk to people. Something like what you see in the movies.
However, the moment you step foot on the campus, you are just met with this overwhelming nervousness. It just hit you. It’s a new campus. New environment. There is a set of inner culture that you still yet to know. These are new people that came from different places. There is more diversity to this place. And you have to figure it all out by yourself. Three months of having your own dorm and studying in a big university...you are not sure if you are doing well.
It’s finally four pm. Probably, your favorite time. By this time, you are usually finished with your classes. Since you are not fond of staying in your dorm to do all your work, you tend to work in the library instead. Better make use of the newly built library that the university is proud of.
In your own table, you just do all the work that you need to do. There will be times you’ll be borrowing books that might be useful for your assignments. The library is a nice place to remove all your worries and sometimes the social anxiety you get whenever you try to talk to people. In the library , it’s just you, your laptop, and your notebook, your music, and the books. Though, you realize that there is no such thing as a perfect place. There is really none (apparently) when you stand before the bookshelf aisle and hear...wet kisses...and moans.
“Seriously...just why?” you whispered to yourself. “They should have chosen another aisle or went somewhere else?”
It just so happens that the book you’re looking for is in the aisle where a couple decided to make out. It would be another option to find another book that would be useful for your research. However, this probably has been the fifth time you checked a book that would be useful. This is your last hope to get a really good book.
You check your phone to see that the library would be closing in thirty minutes. I could...wait for a bit. You thought. And so you did. You sit back down to your seat and watch the aisle then wait for them to come out anytime soon. It’s not like they can do that for thirty minutes.
Though...you’re wrong.
“What the heck? You’ve got to be kidding me!” You gritted your teeth. There’s only ten minutes before the library closes. You do not want to wait for another day to go back to it. Therefore, you stand up and head back to that aisle. You take a quick glance and find them still at it.
You sigh in frustration. Your hands fidget as you rethink several scenarios of what happens if you barge in on them. One scenario is that they'll leave, but they'll probably glare at you. Second scenario is that they'll tell you to piss off. Third is...well they will ignore you. You just end up covering your face in this situation.
"Just take the damn book," a man's voice interrupts your thoughts. You look up to see a man that you've seen from time to time. A man named Iwaizumi...Hajime?
Yes, you kinda know him. You've seen him before and heard of him before. People knew him as the hotheaded type of person that some people fall for. He does have the looks, you thought. Though, you do not even go down that road of having a crush on him because you know very well that you two are the opposite.
"I'm sorry?" You forgot what he even said after that three seconds of thought process of who he is.
"Just take the book. It's them who are out of place," he gives you that frown, but a part of you tells you he's not annoyed at you. It feels more like that expression is just the way his face makes out of what he wants to tell you.
"I don't know," you chuckle...awkwardly.
He sighs for a moment. He readjust his hold on his backpack that is slinging on one of his shoulders. With a cold face, he turns to the aisle. You turn to watch whatever he is going to do. He just stands there unfazed by the couple making out.
"Hey," he called out. The couple stops and looks at him.
"Why don't the two of you get a room rather than being an inconvenience to those students who actually are using the library properly," he snarls.
"Mind your own business. There are books somewhere else," the man retorts.
However, Iwa scoffs and crosses his arms just right above his chest. He looks at the woman beside the man. "Are you really going out with a cheap man who can't even take you to some place more private?"
The man walks up to him and fists on his collar. "What the fuck did you call me?"
You instantly join the scene before it gets worse. You grab Iwa's arm and try to pull him away. Though, it seems you forget that he's a much more muscular and stronger man than you are.
"Let's not make a scene, Iwa," you said. He frowns and looks at you.
"I'm not the one making a scene. It's this jackass over here," he looks back at the man glaring at him. He doesn't even get worked up by the fact that the man is still fisting on his collar.
You do not know if Iwa is the kind of guy who doesn't care about getting in trouble, but you sure don't want a fight over a book you can't get. Therefore, you quickly turn to the shelves and find the number of the book. As you miraculously did find it, you immediately grab it and show it to Iwa.
"Here. I found it. I'm all good. Let's leave," you grab him again by the arm pulling him away; however, the man is not letting him go.
You sigh and suddenly this part of you just eventually lets you to glare at the man. "Are-are you seriously going to fight him rather than go back to making out with your girlfriend?" The man turns to you. You gulp for a moment at the intimidating sight.
Though, Iwa sees your quite pale face and immediately holds your hand and takes a step forward at the man as if trying to dominate one. "Exactly. It's quite a waste of time to try and punch me in the face than to go back to your little business, hm?"
You sigh at the fact that what Iwa said just made the man more persistent at not letting go.
"The library is closing in five minutes, jackass," you muttered. Then the woman finally took it as a queue to pull his man away and leave the aisle.
You on the other hand took that as a sign to finally breathe. You did not realize for a moment that you were holding your breath. You lean a bit on the bookshelf trying to gather all your strength once more. However, the more you take in what just happened, the more you feel the thrill.
You laugh at the thought of it. You have never experienced that before. "You are something," you said.
You glance up at him as he also turns to look at you with a smile. At that moment did you only realize that you are talking to someone...you don't really know.
"I...I mean to say thanks. Thanks for that. Though, I appreciate it more if you didn't try to start a fight," you chuckle.
"He was the one starting the fight,"
"But you were provoking him," you replied back.
"It's really just the face. I was told I have a resting bitch face?"
You look at him to see that neutral face he's talking about. You can't help but just softly laugh about that. You may not notice, but a smile slips on your lips at the sight of you...laughing.
"I'll agree with them," you said as you dial down the laugh and look at him. Your eyes lock with eyes, but you did not let it last for long and immediately looked away.
"We better get going. The library is about to close," he said before any awkward silence gets in.
"Yeah, we should," It then became a signal for the two of you to leave the aisle.
"I'm Iwaizumi Hajime by the way, but it seems you know that already, he said as the two of you walk together.
"Y/N. Yeah, you're quite well-known around here,"
You notice that he seems to be walking to where you're going as well when the entrance door is in the opposite direction you are going.
"Don't you have anywhere else to go?" You mustered up to ask him.
"Oh...right. Sorry," he smiles again. Your heart probably beats a little too fast at the sight of it, but you look away.
He's about to turn when he looks back at you again. "Oh, by the way, what you said back there to that jackass, that was pretty cool,"
For a moment, you stood still and gaze at him as if trying to find a reason as to why he just said that. However, even in that intimidating gaze, you seem to see the sincerity behind his words.
"Thanks," you replied and gave him a soft smile.
You may not know that his cheeks reddened once more at you smiling at him. He pretends to cough to calm himself down.
"Anyway, um...do you by any chance want my number?" He asked as he looked back at you. Though, his gaze can't seem to just look at you for the whole time...out of shyness as you so noticed.
"For?"
"For emergencies. Just in case that jerk tries to come at you for what happened back there," he gazes down, hiding away the hidden details as to why he's giving you his number.
"Oh, yes. Yes, if it's alright?"
He looks up at you as you hand over your phone for him to type his number. Then, after giving it back to you, he then bids goodbye as he leaves.
Little do the two of you know that this little incident would spark a beginning of your lives. Something that would go a long way. A special one. However, what probably began the flames to grow bigger when you finally had the courage to text him.
You: Hi, it's me, Y/n.
