Lich Lord
I somehow misspronounced "Lich Lord" as "Edge Lord" and I will never hear the end of it.

Lord of the Undead by Brom
Necrotic Hold-out (campaign idea)
Here's one for you Dm's who want an urban survival campaign.
Once upon a time a lich lord attempted to take over the world. His starting conquest was quick, happening over night, & the fight against him took many months. Eventually he was defeated & his horde of undead were disbanded, never to cause the people of the world trouble again.
This campaign is not about the people who stopped the undead lich lord, but is rather about a group of people who found that the city they lived in has been surrounded & invaded by an undead invader over night. Now stuck in the heart land of undead territory, this group of survivors must either find a way out of the lich lord's new domain & or hold out till the counter invasion begins.
This article will like to note that the undead in D&D are not like the ones in the modern day traditional media. Undead have to be brought back from specific spells & as such, the players in this game should not have to worry about 'getting infected'. Also due to this the players can destroy a non-undead corpse so that it won't eventually come back to life from necrotic magic.
My players fought their second arc boss: Traxidor the Lich Lord! They fought hard, one of them died and was resurrected, and defeated their foe! Hopefully they'll find his phylactory before he reconstitutes himself!
