the mutual aid los angeles network (malan) has put together a spreadsheet with valuable resources for people affected by the ongoing los angeles wildfires and wind storm. the sheet is constantly being updated with resources such as shelter info, animal boarding info, addresses for distribution centers, volunteer opportunities and so much more.

DSA emergency resource guide Los Angeles county. Includes where to track evacuation warnings, nearby shelter locations and essentials for survival kits.

Prevention methods from smoke inhalation. Essential in all parts of the Los Angeles County. Graphics provide tips on how to protect yourself & others as well know if smoke is affecting your area.

Mutual Aid LA has created an information spreadsheet that give address information for where locals can seek shelter, animal boarding, food/water & clothes & more.

FrontlineMedics list for in-person locations where donations for mutual aid can be dropped off

The LA Times article with live updates for LA County restaurants open and currently offering food & support for those displaced by the wildfires.

Animal Hope and Wellness is currently helping to evacuate animals from wildfire areas. They are urgently requesting people in the LA County area to foster dogs during the wildfires.

Hey anon.

I will actually be blocking anyone who complains the rookie season 8 (which isn’t even confirmed) or the rest of season 7 will be delayed due to the DEVASTATING fires in la right now.

I say this as someone who had to evacuate during the Ventura fire. Proceeded to move, and now is in evacuation warning due these fires. I say this as someone who loves this show with their entire heart. I do not care.

I care about where I will end up if I’m forced to evacuate. I care about the firefighters who are risking their lives. I care about the people losing their homes all over LA county. I care about the animals being displayed and pushed into cities. I care about the homeless communities losing their homes little they have!

You all spend your Tuesdays watching the rookie? I spent it watching the news that over took your favorite shows.

This doesn’t just go for the rookie fandom, it’s for the 9-1-1 fandom and SWAT fandom. I’ve seen way more then this comment

Have a bit of empathy! I get you love your shows but they are just shows! This is people’s lives.

“That’s how people cope” half of the people saying this don’t live in LA. YALL weren’t talking shit like this when other states are in states of emergencies. Just because most you see us as “Hollywood” and “Disneyland” there is so much more. Pls be kind! This is scary!

My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating fires. So many homes and buildings have been lost in such a short amount of time. it’s both heartbreaking and terrifying to witness. The speed at which the fires spread is crazy. Sending strength and safety to everyone in LA and beyond. Stay vigilant and stay safe!

As for my safety, There aren’t any fires in OC right now, but everything is so dry, all it would take is one spark and the wind would do the rest. My house backs right into a canyon and a big wilderness area, so it’s definitely on my mind too.

Unrelated musing: I know now is NOT the time, but... with how 9-1-1 often pulls from real life events, you’ve got to wonder, do you think they’ll base a storyline on this?
