Those that train with me know that I'm naturally competitive. My injury has brought some humble insight: Don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to who you were yesterday. As I get weird looks from others because I decide to wear a belt when I lift light, I have to constantly remind myself it's for me, for my safety, and for my rehabilitation. This is my first day back in the rack from months of doing other leg workouts due to my sciatica. I was able to hit front squats up to 65lbs. I tried back squats and was able to get up to 95lbs. In my eyes, that's a win. Slow and steady progress to a better, stronger, and more capable me. #Rehabilitation #Sciatica #PlantarFasciitis #LowerBodyEverything #SlowAndSteady #LiftLight #WearBelts #BeSafe #BeHumble #gymmemes #DontJudgeOthers #TheresAlwaysABiggerStory (at EOS Fitness - Las Vegas Durango Gym)
