As the monarch of Lumeria, Lumera does all she can for the betterment of her nation and the enrichment of her people’s lives. She is not afraid to go into her own personal wealth to fund infrastructure, social structures, and military war frames for her people and is known to donate exuberant amounts to charities and individual families affected by strife and war. Outside of uplifting her own nation she also funds, often personally, inter-universal campaigns to support other nations, rising kingdoms, and newly founded worlds.

Lumera is also a staunch defender of freedom, sovereignty, and independence of other nations and will fiercely protect them from aggressor nations and powers that would seek to conquer them. The Queen of Lumeria is undoubtedly a powerhouse of a ruler, a mighty defender of creation, and a reliable ally that will always have your back. For this reason, MANY value their alliances with Lumeria.

Having studied extensively at the war college, Lumera is a brilliant tactician and is masterful in the development of strategies. As a result, she is a phenomenal military leader and has brought her nation back from the brink, achieving some of the most important victories the nation has ever seen. However, Lumera spends an extensive amount of time creating battle plans, and backup plans for those plans, and additional plans for those backup plans. This obsession with fashioning the perfect strategies, to minimize causalities and lost lives, occupies a lot of her time and ends up being extremely mentally taxing for her.

She leads almost all military excursions and campaigns personally always right out on the front lines; never has she been one to just sit on her throne while others fight in the conflicts she decides on. In fact, she is so famous for it that it is said “When looking for Lumera you are better off going to the war front than the royal castle.” As the Prime Commander of the military Lumera highly prioritizes the lives of her soldiers and this manifests as her being willing to even put her own life on the line to protect them. This strong and self-less desire to protect all that she can is highly admired by her warriors, but often comes as a detriment to her own health and wellbeing; which worries those higher in command.

Lumera is not only incredibly erudite when it comes to running a nation, politics, and war; she is also very emotionally intelligent and empathetic. This results in Lumera being a very merciful ruler, prioritizing the wellbeing, both mental and physical, of all her people and warriors. However, Lumera can also be emotionally driven and, while she is most often composed, in situations of duress her emotional state will end up clouding her judgment; resulting in her becoming more brash and reactive.

Finally, decided to introduce the main character of my Chronicles of Light series and the leader of the Nation of Lumeria. You have likely seen her mentioned, quite often, in the stories of my other characters. Now she is finally here! She got a bit of a design overhaul and I wanted to add more to her. She was initially just all white with that golden yellow color to her wings, spines, horns, crests, and tail; all the same shade by the way. So really she consisted of two colors. I wanted to stay true to this with the redesign, however, I wanted to avoid making her so plain again. Therefore, I decided to use a variety of shades of yellow, gold, and that marigold color. Also added some gradients to her as well.

As the Queen of Light I wanted her to look more regal and to be a better reflection of the Light Element. Therefore, her crests now look like a very warm sunrise and I LOVE this gradient on her; its completely changed her look. I also decided to giver her markings; she didn't have any previously. To do this, I went through the 5 stages of grief when designing them.

I was inspired by Mel Medarda's markings; which I LOVE so much. Mel is the most beautiful character design I have seen in a while and her markings are gorgeous. I wanted to follow that graceful flowing nature and the quite power reflected in them and I know I didn't even come close to the affect; but I am happy nonetheless. Lumera's markings take on a structure resembling Light and I wanted the marks on her head to almost mimic a royal crown/tiara while also reflecting the shining sun in them. One day I will truly do them justice.

Kals Mega-Post.

Hey everyone.

I've done a set of illustrations for the "Kals" book series that my friend is writing and I wanted to put them all in one place, so here's a mega-post showing off the main cast.

The series is based around characters who have divine elemental powers that they use to battle demons. It's part fantasy, part superhero!

I've decided to redraw some of my old Skylanders OC characters and redesigns, starting with Lancelight. This is primarily from a main AU where Light and Dark aren't rare Elements and are integrated into the Core of Light, which I call "The Ancient Core" instead. Spotlight and Blackout also appear in Spyro's Adventure as the primary dragons.

But for now, This is Lancelight

Origin:

Like many young angels, Lancelight always wanted to join the Paladin guard when he grew up. But his small wings were too weak for flying, causing the other angels to look down on him. Nonetheless, Lancelight trained hard in the ways of Spear combat everyday, determined to prove himself as a Paladin

When an army of trolls sent by the Evil Portal Mistress Kaosandra managed to capture all flying angels using specialized nets in an effort to steal their wings, it was Lancelight and his unique fighting style that caught the trolls off guard, allowing him to rescue them.

The other angels finally recognized his strength as a warrior and finally offered to make him a Paladin... But Lancelight declined. His heroic actions had reached Master Eon, and he was instead invited to join the Skylanders, who defended all of Skylands and not just the Angelic city. Nonetheless the Angels regard Lancelight as one of their strongest warriors to this day
