Rant/vent incoming

I am so sick of what is going on in the world. All of these people who sit, scrolling Facebook, laughing at their ai generated memes. All of these people who drink coffee in the morning and go to work and think everything’s gonna get better in the end. All of these people who voted for a crusty old rich white dude. I am sick and tired of pretending that everything’s okay. I am sick and tired of pretending that everything’s gonna be okay one day, because that isn’t fucking true and if you believe it, then you’re lying to yourself. Look around yourself, look at this Orwellian nightmare we’re crawling into and then look me in the eye and say “it’ll be okay”. It won’t fucking be okay. Not in my lifetime, not in yours. There might be a light at the end of the tunnel, but god knows we won’t see it. I’m sick of seeing people see other people’s genuine concern and fear for their futures and saying that it’s just conspiracy and they have nothing to worry about. I’m sick of these fuckheads who voted for that wrinkly old bastard being happy about what’s happened. I’m sick of this country but I know that I’m powerless to do anything about it because as much as these adults want to “protect the kids”, they sure as hell don’t want to listen to them. If you genuinely believe that this is all some conspiracy theory and everyone is overreacting, then you’re either a heartless asshole, a complete moron, or both.
