Shrubs are also known as "drinking vinegar", and they're commonly mixed with sparkling water to make a funky, non-alcoholic drink. Some people praise it for its health benefits, and I can't speak to that. But it does make a really fun drink. And it's crazy customizable and doesn't even necessarily need cooking!

I'm using this recipe to make an orange and nectarine shrub with a little bit of cinnamon. Nothing too wild for my first one, I mainly just wanted to use some nectarines I got before they went bad. I currently have the fruit and sugar mix sitting on my counter for the rest of the weekend.
