Lilith’s use of magic in Part 3
1- Body severing. Is able to take Nick/Lucifer’s tongue without any apparent blood/damage. Magically keeps it in a jar, still alive and moving.
2- Half slumber spell. She appears to have cast something on Nick/Lucifer that keeps him subdued, unable to do much beyond lie there.
3- Prayer hearing. I believe this is not specific to the crown, but is specific to any ancient being who is prayed to. Lilith still believes Zelda and the coven worship her when she goes for asylum, so presumably she carried on hearing their prayers even after Sabrina took the crown.
4- Perception Manipulation. Makes the rotting food appear enticing and edible, even though it clearly isn’t for human consumption
5- Soul Movement. Even when no longer Queen, she is able to send Jesse’s soul to the heavens with just a wave of her hand, suggesting this is a power she had pre-Queendom.
6- Knowledge of Hell Law. Knows what’s required for a King or Queen to be challenged. Defends her own crown, off screen, and Sabrina’s, on screen
1- Item Conjuration. Summons the Book of the Beast without incantation and barely even a gesture
2- Fire teleportation. Another manipulation of the fire element and an extension of her pyrokinesis.
3- Teleportation (ordinary). Even though we don’t physically see it, she clearly arrives at Baxter High via teleportation, and to meet Sabrina after she failed to drag a soul
4- Follow Psychic Trails. Is able to pick up psychic scent of others and follow them and/or locate them using it
5- Memory Manipulation. Alters Lucy’s memory so she doesn’t remember the magic or, interestingly, most of her horrible ordeal (thoughtful gesture, Lilith?)
6- Soul torturing. Not sure if this is a power or a talent, but she says there won’t be much left of Jimmy once she’s threw with him. Similarly, I presume Lilith is also capable of dragging souls, especially considering she can send souls to Heaven
2- Arcane Knowledge. Knows more about the Unholy Regalia than even most of the demons do
3- Curator of the Regalia. Is the one to put each item in it’s place, and when she does a surge of power is heard, so I feel there’s something in this, but we don’t know what yet
1- Knowledge of Hell Law again if the amount of legal documents she seems to be working on are any indication
2- Arcane Knowledge. Knows how Lucifer’s powers work and where they come from. Also knows how Sabrina’s own blood/birthright works.
3- Confirmation that her powers are her own and not dependent on Lucifer as her own powers haven’t been drained
2- Collective teleportation. Implied that she brings the horde to the Grand Hall herself (especially as the Academy is guarded against such arrivals, so Lilith would have had to summoned them there herself)
3- Arcane Knowledge. Knows about the bowl and the time loop as well as time magics in general
4- Portal opening. Opens the painting portal to the Place of Skulls with a simple spell
5- Curating the Regalia again
1- Glamour. Appears to Mary as Adam.
2- Channels ‘Christian’ power. Uses Mary’s ‘goodness’ as the key to a protection spell to hide herself from the Dark Lord (is broken by Mary giving away the ‘key’ with her verbal permission. But the fact remains, Lucifer had to get Mary to submit in order to be able to get to Lilith, so it was a powerful enough spell in theory)
3- Ritual of Separation. Lucifer specifically goes to Lilith for this spell. He could have gone to any witch, freed himself and then turned up to Lilith without warning and killed her. But no, he goes to her, because he needs her, implying she is the only witch powerful enough to do the spell successfully and smoothly
4- Acquires Rare Ingredients. Linked to the above, she can apparently get a hold of water from the River Styx at short notice. As well as Ambergris. That bath potentially smelled of whale fecal matter. Just saying
5- Siren song. Lilith uses her singing to hypnotise again, as she did with Sabrina in Part 1. She lulls the Dark Lord into an enchanted slumber. She makes the Dark Lord fall asleep with a freaking song
6- Enchanted Awakening. Something she’s done before, but this time does it with a mere click of the fingers, and is able to awaken only Blackwood and keep Lucifer asleep
7- Mark of Cain. Is someone capable of giving a Mark supposedly only given by the False God himself. Possibly suggests she has more power linked to her origins than she lets on.
8- Conception. Ensures pregnancy with one single consummation.
9- Satanic Miracle. Is able to carry the Dark Lord’s child. The fact Lucifer took a long time to find and select Diana, suggests not everyone is capable of carrying his child. Diana and Lilith in a special, yet unwanted, club.
The fact the final two episodes don’t have Lilith doing any magic just shows how little spellcasting and magic happened in general in Part 3. Everyone was doing a lot less magic and I really felt disappointed by that. I loved the vibe of the spells in Part 1.
