I was afraid to get this app. I grew up hearing people make fun of tumblr and the creatures who inhabited it. I thought that if I joined, it would automatically make me crazy. A brainwashed, too-many-labels, tech-addicted perpetual child. But I waited until 2024, and it turns out, I’m cracked anyway. I’m autistic (self-realized) with psych comorbidities, my gender is either a liminal space or just not caring, my sexuality is expansive and my romantic identity is tangled up with my neurotype. My soul is mixed up with that of a snow leopard and an ocelot. I feel like a human form is too small, too limited, to contain everything I am. The entire world is my god. This app didn’t make me this way, and I’m not being corrupted. I’m coming home.
