Let this be as simple as possible. We all need to slow down and consume less. #limitstogrowth #climatechange #thinkfirst #wakeup #collective #responsibility https://www.instagram.com/p/BrIVvARhhrT/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17xr3yri7agbo

Upcoming event "coverage" here! Beginning tomorrow, I'll be attending the first Club of Rome Summer Academy in Florence, Italy. If you're acquainted with the ecological limits to growth (Grenzen des Wachstums) and have any open questions about sustainability, climate change, the Club of Rome's work, the global collapse we'll likely face, the concept of the ecological footprint, the post-growth debate and anything related, let me know. I could ask the pioneers of ecological research. Or I might even be able to answer it myself. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, let me know. :) Or if you study at #designkrefeld, you might want to keep an eye out for a potential talk I might give on all this, sometime early in the next semester. #clubofrome #climateaction #sustainability #limitstogrowth #postwachstum #florence #umwelt #energiewende #nachhaltigkeit #corsa
When you discuss what is bad in the world, inevitably get to "what shall be done about it". This impulse of "got to solve it then!" should come right after having understood what isn't good. This is why I like studying design, it's constant problem-solving, it gets you used to that - which helps in living. #ethics #ethical #dogood #effectivealtruism #ecofriendly #sustainable #environment #climate #sustainability #consciousblogger #blog #conscious #greenlifestyle # #naturelover #naturelovers #protectourplanet #limitstogrowth #ecology #climate #klimawandel #postwachstum #grenzendeswachstums #öko #climatechange #climateaction #sustainability #energie #umwelt #energiewende #nachhaltigkeit #doinggoodbetter #activism
Discuss what's bad more (but in the right way, for more on that see #3 later). Work on real problems, and think about what you want to spend 40 years of your life working on. Don't be scared to be intense, to be seen as an activist, sometimes as overly serious, as someone who unironically cares about something. It's comfy to just say, "terrible things happen in the world, huh" and avoid thinking about how you might be contributing to that. Everyone should get used to the concept that our lives have footprints, not just ecologically, but socially. Things happen because I exist, and though I hopefully don't want to kill myself over that, I'll have to accept it. Humans are capable of this. We can understand the chocolate cake is not good for our health, but still eat and enjoy it, without forgetting that we should be aware of the risks of sugar intake. Similarly, you can know that because of the resource depletion, pollution, and unfair economical activity caused by your existence, you are contributing to an unfair world, but you can still live and go ahead working against that. #ethics #ethical #dogood #effectivealtruism #ecofriendly #sustainable #environment #climate #sustainability #consciousblogger #blog #conscious #greenlifestyle # #naturelover #naturelovers #protectourplanet #limitstogrowth #ecology #climate #klimawandel #postwachstum #grenzendeswachstums #öko #climatechange #climateaction #sustainability #energie #umwelt #energiewende #nachhaltigkeit
Warning Sir Les Patterson urinating from 70s platforms into a token phosphate sculpture at Nauru House... This and so much more wonderfulness at Nicholas Mangan's current MUMA show. #nicholasmangan #limitstogrowth #lespatterson #muma (at MUMA - Monash University Museum of Art)
