I had completely forgotten that I already sent a little of the story of my Lioness to Harrier, It's amazing how easily I forget things LOL, anyway there you go. ( Ignore some gramatic mistakes, English is not my first language)
Linara is a lioness from an ancient tribe of lions, who were isolated by the Lion-O's ancestors, because this tribe did not agree with the ideals of Lion's ancestors.
Linara in my head would be a maned lioness which means she was born with excess testosterone, making her her a little bigger and stronger than many male lions in her tribe. Because of this, she suffered a lot in childhood, she was excluded by the other children, most of them being boys, who were afraid of her.
However, it does not mean the females didn't fail to make her feel horrible about herself, they were wrost than the boys, the girls whenever they could, made malicious comments about her, saying she was a freak and that no one would ever want her because she was too masculine. ( Cliché I know)
Even telling your mother, nothing changed, her mother didn't care, she was busy helping her husband the tribe leader, and taking care of the male children, so that they would become great warriors in the future.
After an discussion with her older brother, Linara ran away from the tribe, and search for a place she could call home. Luckily, she found by a young lion, son of the leader of a neighboring tribe (there is more than one tribe of lions that were isolated by Lion-O's ancestors, each with their own ideas, culture etc.)
After a few years, the lioness and the young lion were now 17 years old, they were inseparable, brothers from different mothers. (imagine their relationship like Taka and Mufasa.)
But nothing lasts forever. Their tribe is invaded by tribeless lions and the young lion's father is murdered, giving rise to a new leader. Linara, not liking this, confronts the new leader and almost kills him in a bloody duel, but, the lions who came accompanied by the new leader join the fight, winning, and expel her from the tribe.
Now as a wanderer, she walked for every third Earth. On one of her trips, she found Lion-O, who was alone on the edge of a lake, reflecting about his life, until he is attacked by some creature. She saves Lion-O and looks at him with the typical "what the hell?" face. The thundercats who heard the creature's noises arrive to see how the young king escapes, seeing this the lioness takes the creature and leaves without saying a word.
After this, Lion-O will feel that he is being watched (he really is.) Linara is curious to know more about him, but she doesn't know how to interact with boys. (She's even worse than Lion-O, she can't even say hi.)
Linara could only say what she wanted by writing a letter and leaving it next to Lion-O while he slept. After that Lion-O allows her to join the team.
If you want, I can talk about her relationship with the other Thundercats.
I may end up changing a lot of things in the future, but for now this is it.
I also have a snake oc, maybe I will talk more about another time.
Oh, I remember this!! I always find the idea of more cat clans existing outside of Thundera to be so interesting! Like. An empire can't be a single city, it has to have colonies to, you know, occupy places and harvest resources.
And even then, the idea that all of one species exists within one society is uhhhh dubious and one of my least favorite things that reoccurs in Fantasy. Humans have multiple kingdoms and factions, but everyone else gets *maybe* two? 😓
I'm very interested in what Tygra and Cheetara make of Linara and the story of her clan. I imagine Lion-O is very shocked!
